Great shears
The shears from our knife set fell apart. They were the regular scissor type that were not detachable for cleaning. These shears fit perfectly in the slot for the wooden knife holder. They are sharp and easy to hold and the open handle design lets you use the whole hand. The buIlt-in spring keeps them open so you use your hand only to cut. They go through roasted chicken like butter and even my wife likes them for how easy they cut. They come apart for cleaning which I like cause I can clean between blades and the spring groove. We’ve had them for a long time now and there is no rust at all and they are still sharp. I totally recommend it.

These are the best poultry shear on the market hands down
I bought all of the top five rated shears Americas test kitchen) and none of them hold a candle to these. The spring loaded padded handles make them easy to grip, the blades are sharp and good for cutting anything even raw chicken skin. The have lots of different cutting surfaces at different points of the blades. cut through large raw chicken bones fairly easy. They have a great spring mechanism that is scow simple and well designed I think it will last for generations. Very easy to take apart and clean. If you know a good chef and want to empress them buy them a pair of these.

Tansung Poultry Shears
I used the poultry shears to spatchcock a turkey. They cut through the smaller bones without a problem but not as easy on some of the thicker ones. The shears weren't as easy to hold for me because my hand is smaller, but the non-slip handle helped. The blades seemed sharp, however, it was difficult to cut through the turkey skin but didn't have a problem cutting through the meat. They were easy to take apart to clean and that was a selling point for me. Overall, I was pleased with the shears and they will get a lot of use.

Cut.
Works great. If you have to work with lobsters you will love it.

Buy these NOW!
We are nationally certified BBQ judges and have our “favorite” tools and for both me and my husband - these poultry shears are IT! Just fantastic and are worth double the price. We will be buying a couple more pair as they are THAT good!

Update: Design flaw
Update and downgrade: I've been using these shears since November and it's now February. The lock mechanism has become loose. It rotates and locks while I'm using the shears. Not only annoying but potentially dangerous. I have to stop and unlock and then cut. The other flaw is that the bolt is on the bottom. If the shears become stuck they come apart. Unless you're left-handed. Then the bolt is on the top. Still leaving three stars because they cut chicken leg bones easily. I'm back to my big-box cheap shears for meat. Just use these for bones. Not really worth the price.Found that I had to use just the tip of the blades to cut chicken meat and skin. The notch at the back of the blade is for breaking the bones. I broke chicken leg bones with a lot of two-hand pressure at the notch. However, if I get meat or skin in the notch it doesn't cut. Got used to it pretty quickly and it will definitely work out. I would have liked two handles like a scissors rather than the one handle and flat handle. I wear plastic gloves and the flat handle is trickier to hold. Really like the disassembly for cleaning.

Very well made and strong!
We ordered these kitchen shears based on photos and reviews on Amazon and were very pleased with them. We needed to butterfly a turkey for Thanksgiving, and needed shears that would be able to cut out the back bone from a 13 pound turkey. The TANSUNG shears really did the trick! It took some good hand strength because the rib bones were pretty tough, but it did cut through them and we used the back bone in the stock we needed for the dressing. They are made so you can take them apart and are easy to clean, which is great when you've been cutting raw meat. The grips are cushioned and easy to grip. They also have a way to lock them so they don't come open in the drawer. Very happy with the ergonomic design and strength of these shears.

Looks like quality, but just fails at basic cutting
Every now and then we do a ‘kitchen tools revamp’ - donating stuff we don’t use, upgrading a couple of things, etc. Well, we’d been putting air fryer chicken wings into weekly rotation, usually needing to cut off the tips and separate the leg and drumstick, so what better than to pick up a pair of poultry shears? They were kind of expensive for China(Japan? Non-US) scissors, but why not?Out of the box they seemed like quality, other than the internal spring makes life a bit fiddly trying to wash it and re-asssemble, but the worst part was actually trying to use them for the simple purpose of cutting the wing tips and separating the drumsticks. To put it mildly, they’re simply awful scissors. With all of the positive reviews, ‘somehow I must be doing it wrong.’ Grab one of the pairs of Dioro scissors, nope, not a problem. Back to these and just want to throw them out a window - they simply do not cut. Have tried to use them for non-poultry, but in reality - they seem to fundamentally be poor scissors, no matter what you’re trying to cut, even simple plastic or paper wrappings (after giving up on using for chicken).Wish I could return them (waited too long), but won’t even be donating these as I wouldn’t want someone else to live through the frustration/non-cutting of these.
