Really nice book. My 3 year old loves it.

This is the 4th book I've purchased written by Anita Adikhary. This book like her others are creative, beautfully illustrated and perfect for the young recipients I gift them to. Dashain Aayo is written in a lovely rhyme to introduce young readers to a festival celebration in Nepal. I highly recommend this author!

I am one of the FORTUNATE teachers that has “The United Nations” in my room. I make sure all races and cultures are covered for each of my students. They are in middle school, but they appreciate seeing all of the books that I have purchased on display.

This book has wonderful illustrations of Dashain and Tihar, two of the biggest festivals in Nepal. Both of my kids thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I’m sure the readers can experience the spirit of Dashain and Tihar. I admire Anita Adhikary’s contributions in early literacy.

Great way to introduce Nepalese kids to the nepali culture and celebrations!

This book is a must have if you are a Nepali and raising children abroad. I wish there was a book like this when my children were small so that I could explain to them in a fun, as well as, informational manner the importance and joys of celebrating Dasain and bhai Tika. This book makes an excellent Christmas gift for children from all cultures as it not only promotes cultural awareness but also curiosity regarding diverse cultures! I can't rave about this book enough! If you are Nepali or have love for Nepal, this book will explain the two biggest festivals of Nepal in a clear, concise manner. The Nepali alphabet, along with pronunciation guides is included and a fantastic finger play for kids! The book has vivid pictures, which will bring back memories for anyone that spent time in Nepal during these festivities. Kids and adults will love it! With the festivals around the corner, buy 2 copies - you won't be disappointed!
