Worked Great To Start Grass on Steep Slope
I couldn’t be happier with this product in terms of how easy it was to lay down and the cost of it compared to other options. I had a metal building installed and had to have a lot of dirt hauled in for the pad. I had really steep slopes on the sides of the pad and wanted to get grass started as soon as possible so I figured I would give this a try.In my case, I decided to roll out the netting first, and then spread seeded with fertilizer. After the netting was down my slopes were just too steep, and the seed and fertilizer was sliding down when the netting was not there. As you can see in the pictures, the product work exactly as I hoped, and it gave the grass a chance to take route before getting washed away. I don’t have a current photo, but the grass is all 8 to 10 inches tall now in the middle of winter, which is perfect to keep my dirt in place. 6 inch landscape staples about every 24 inches apart to lock the netting down in place and that seem to work well.

Excellent quality
Switched to this distributor for the excellent price!I have had excellent success with this product. 1) cut any existing grass as low as possible. 2) Add an inch of compost 3) lay and pin mesh 3) sow seed 4) water dailyThe mesh holds the seed retains moisture, helps to prevent rain and watering from compacting the soil. -Can be top dresses with more compost to hide mesh at a later date, but it soon blends in as the mesh color darkens. The two rolls I purchased came much sooner than expected, less than a week. I did use a hand truck to position the first run but after that I could carry the roll (125lb. female). There were no breaks in the roll the mesh was excellent throughout. It was not packaged so there was no plastic! Garden pins are not included which was also perfect as I have too many already from previous projects.

The less you mess with this stuff The better.
I used this jute mesh in conjunction with weed barrier. I put this directly on top of the weed fabric on a steep slope. The theory is that it will prevent the bark mulch from sliding to the bottom of the hill. Lets hope it works. At a minimum the jute will camouflage the unsightly weed barrier. The roll is heavy. I suggest the use of a dolly. Also, I cut manageable length of the fabric and spooled them around a 3 inch PVC pipe. The less you mess with this stuff The better.

Easy to use
This product is fully biodegradable but strong. Easy to move the weave around to plant without cutting and compromising the strength of the material. There was little to no smell. Using on a grade of 20-25% and it does a great job of holding back loose soil. Will definitely buy again

Did exactly what I expected
I have a new driveway with steep banks on both sides. I scattered wheat straw then covered it with this jute mesh held in place with dirt. Within 2 weeks I had growth emerging through the jute mesh to help stabilize the banks. Without the jute mesh the rains and wind would have caused the straw to dislodge and allow the dirt to wash away. This jute was perfect for this use. On one side I ran the jute vertically, and on the other I ran it horizontally. Both sides had equal success.

Very good at keeping a dogs feet clean! He’s happy and so are we!
We have a big dog who loves to run down our fence. He has the grass worn down to the dirt. I got this to help with his muddy feet. It has help with this problem immensely. We hardly ever have to wash his feet. I would recommend this product to anyone who has the same problem. I bought a second roll to use when this one wears out.

This did a good job of holding seed in place on slopes
This did a good job of holding seed in place on slopes. It also seems to hold moisture well enough that seed germination went faster under it than for seed out on bare soil. Its preservative odor was noticeable but not a problem. We cut it with heavy-duty kitchen shears. The length was as advertised, and a 4-foot width was easier to deal with in our setting than an 8-foot roll would have been. Be alert to the weight; one small person would need a hand truck to move the full roll around.
