this is a book for serious students of chinese medicine and qigong therapy. it is well written as it is a difficult esoteric subject; it encompasses everything i wanted to know , reviewed what i had forgotten or simply skimmed.Professor Johnson is an eminently qualified practitioner. It will take me a looonng time to absorb it all

In my opinion Alan Johnson is the better autor I could find. His book is the most spiritual we can find in wester literature.

Has some repetition of the material in the sections, but otherwise excellent text. Very informative. Easy to read.

This seller was very helpful and easy to work with. There seems to be a lot of confusion about editions--none of the books list on the outside or on the title page which edition they are. This was advertised as the 2005 edition, but it's 2002. However, I have begun to think that only the first volume was updated in 2005 which would then make the vol. 2 book I received the proper one.
