Cake S.O.S. Isomalt Crystals 16 Ounces Bag

I bought an antique glass bottle and made a silicone mold of it which I then used this isomalt in the mold to make a biodegradable bottle to hold a family members ashes to be sent off at sea. I’ve never done this before, but I made 3 bottles of different colors using food coloring and had only 1 mistake because of the mold. This isomalt was perfect. Heated it in the microwave in no time.

Good isomalt, I am happy, I make decor only from it. I have ordered it twice already and have arranged autodelivery for the future.

I scooped 1/3cup into a mug and microwaved it for 2min. Then allowed it to “rest” for 1 min to allow the bubbles to pop. Avoid stirring because it’ll cause bubbles to form and it makes the isomalt cloudy once it cools down. I used it to form domes for my tart treats and it did the job perfectly. The instructions say to add water but I don’t think that is necessary.

I bought this to use with my cookies and it worked really well but the only thing is that I needed to use distilled water instead of tap water which made the isomalt yellow in color instead of clear like I had seen in previous videos, and its very hard to wash out of the pots and measuring cup I used but I found that boiling the pan and the measuring cup in hot water removed the left over isomalt. I still need to work on perfecting it for cookie making.

Do not buy this brand if you're going to use it for lollipops. They cloud very easily.

Rast to use, manipulate and dried fast.

This worked great. Super easy to use. Heated in microwave, no need to add water or melt on stovetop. Poured into homemade aluminum foil molds, added blue food coloring and made an isomalt "frozen" castle for a cake topper.
