My favorite brushes in the 60s were a flat and a round Winsor Newton sable watercolor, and Grumbacher oil and acrylic bristles. They were very expensive for the time, but held up well for years. These seem okay for the price, longevity has yet to be tested. They will be hard pressed to compare to the resilient springiness of those WN brushes though. I just play at painting these days, and don't know what are considered the best brands to use today, should I wish to do something serious. Advice?

Very good set. The bristles, for the most part, do not fall out. For the money I strongly suggest buying these.

Brushes showed up super fast and were nicely packaged. The handles are very long which I love for painting. The bristle brushes are just what I need for smudging my charcoal drawings and the synthetic brushes I'm using for watercolors. The canvas case is great for storing my super messy charcoal covered brushes, and keeping the mess concentrated. Really good value for the brushes! I'm very pleased.

I received the brushes very quickly and they were very well packaged. The set comes in a nice tube, which is perfect for gift giving. The included canvas roll is a really great bonus to keep them organised. I am sure my daughter is going to love getting them for Christmas.
