Item was great I would buy again it works pretty well

Perfect door lock. I used this when I modified my dump trailer gates.

Don’t use the whole product but did use parts great quality

Be sure to dry assemble the entire assembly before welding. On my trailer, I permanently mounted the cam lock hasps on the door frame first. Them cut my pipe to length (considering the cam locks in place). I actually drilled and pinned my cam locks in the pipe and put the assembly in place with the door tightly closed (I used vice grips to close the cams into the hasps securely). Then I installed the handle retaining plate on the door. Then (and only then) I put the handle in position on the pipe with the handle in the locked position in the handle retaining plate on the door and tack welded it in place. Once that was done, I disassembled the bar assembly and welded the handle and cams in place on the work bench. Then I completed my assembly. I would have given this item 5 stars but they shorted me one set of bar to door retainers and I can't find any place to get one. The manufacture is not responding to requests and it's to late to return the item.

Nice and easy to install

I had to update my trailer doors hardware and wanted to replace some rusty parts on my door bars. Love the way it turned out. I suggest that you purchase new bolts and these may be a larger diameter that what you have so check your application to be sure.

Contained exactly the parts I required to mend my enclosed trailer. Pricepoint was great for the material quality. I'm basing the "ease of use" rating on the fact that it is blatantly obvious that welding will be required for this.

So one little piece of info missing... There is welding required with this kit. Not what I was expecting. I did catch the part where you provide your own pipe, which I like, because I can customize the size I want. The kit parts themselves seem to be of good quality. BUT... I do not own a welding machine, nor do I posses any welding experience or skills. That would an IMPORTANT little tid-bit to include in the frckn description. Anyway, I sent back for a refund. :(
