Pentair R172288 Corrosion Resistant Check Valve Replacement Pool and Spa Automatic Feeder

I needed a flow check valve when installing my new spa water heater as I had to rework the plumbing on the outlet side and it was going to have to dip down lower than the existing plumbing to meet up with the water outlet on the new heater. Putting this valve inline keeps water from the chlorinator back flowing into the heater when the pump is off. Installed easily with my 2" PVC and seems to be working perfectly!

Replaced the same valve after mine was cracked in the Texas freeze. I replaced all the components that were cracked and this one was fairly easy. I could not find this anywhere locally so I searched on Amazon and it came quickly. Installation was easy. No problems whatsoever.

I converted my pool to salt and installed a new electronic chlorine generator. I installed the check valve downstream of the heater and upstream of the generator. As expected, it works perfect.

I liked that it was easy to install.

So far it is working as expected. I had a back flow problem through the filtering system and this valve solved it. Hope it will last for a while. It is too early to give it five stars.

Seller delivered the product fast. Just what I needed

After 20+ years, we noticed some cracks in the PVC around our pool filter and in the multi-valve housing. Time to replace them before something bad happens. Ordered the check valve and multi-valve from Amazon. Painless, as usual. Install went great. This item was the exact same check valve model that was on the original pool, although the manufacturer has changed due to aquisitions and mergers through the years.

Worked okay for what I needed but the check valve does not 100% stop backflow. Delivery was fast and accurate

Perfect fit

Did not work gets stuck inside can’t see it and it doesn’t close, this allowed the chorine back into my pool heater causing damage. Highly don't recommend this product
