Great value for a fine watch
I purchased this watch as a gift for my husband who is very pleased with the appearance, quality and smooth function. The watch came with a USB cable and charger and functioned quickly and easily right out of the box. The solar/atomic aspects are a wonderful convenience in providing accurate, reliable time. Seller responded quickly to one question I submitted. I highly recommend this seller.

Slow for an Atomic Watch, Dies Young
It receives the signal most mornings. Second hand is never perfect. Some days 4 seconds slow. Minute hand almost perfect. I know this because I have 7 other solar atomic (radio controlled) watches on the same windowsill and they are all synchronized with the atomic clock to the second every day.UPDATE: I returned the first inaccurate one for an equally inaccurate one. Less than a month in with this one, battery fully charged, all 3 hands stopped moving. I cannot tell you how I managed to get it moving again, but really, don't bother with this handsome paperweight. Rating down from 2 to 1 star. Also, watch band too short for some men.

good value
after reading some of the bad reviews i took a chance a bought this watch anyway glad i did, some of the problems are the user error, the watch is all metal has a mineral crystal but has a cheap strap not a big deal just change it for a good one setting up the watch is easy if you read the instructions it dose have the instructions for manual time set,i did a series of tests to get reception it likes on your wrist and outside push s1 for 3sec hold your hand still the signal will start then show the signal strength and blink several times during after a few minn it will read wait and that means it worked wait untill its done the time will be right as long as you have the right time zone i did this several time worked every time good in the house did work at 3am automatically but it probably will better if you live close to fort collins i am in oregon 1220 miles away,so the watch is a good deal just set it up right and it will work for a long time.update works in the house on a window ledge facing west just find the sweet spot it still likes outside better, solar charging works ok stays charged up when wearing it outside and inside-inside takes a bit more time but stays running and charged keeps good time so far so good

Accurate and Attractive
The watch is always within a second of any time signal I check. The trick is finding a window facing toward Denver. I learned the best spot to place it overnight when I did the initial set-up because any window not facing Denver did not allow the initial sync. Since then, it syncs nightly.

Quality watch, good value – provided you can receive the radio signal
FIRST, A SUMMARY: This is a very pretty, impressive-looking, and solidly-constructed watch. It may be inexpensive, but there’s nothing cheap about it. It seems to keep correct time (neither fast nor slow). Unlike other radio-controlled watches which are a pain to set up, this one came all set up, charged, and working. Date was correct, time seemed correct except that it was 3 hours behind my local time. I’m in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Eastern Standard time zone. The watch came already pre-set to Pacific Time.Having studied the enclosed manual (see HORRIBLE MANUAL below), I switched the time zone from LA to NY, the mechanism started whirring around, and a couple of minutes later the watch showed the correct Massachusetts time. And it still does, precisely.Bad news for me: It fails to receive that Colorado radio signal. I simply live too far from that radio signal. Admittedly, the watch can be used manually with the radio stuff turned OFF, and then one can set it manually, but the process is tedious (see HORRIBLE LCD DISPLAY BELOW). If I’m to have a not-radio-controlled watch, I’d rather buy one that’s designed to be set manually, easily. So, reluctantly (I wish I could have kept it, I like the way it looks) this watch has to go back to Amazon.BOTTOM LINE: Provided that you live in an area where there is strong reception of the Colorado time signal, you should consider buying this one, with one caveat: see HORRIBLE MANUAL below!==================HORRIBLE LCD DISPLAY: There’s this small window at the 3 o’clock position containing a low-quality, dark-gray over light-gray LOW RESOLUTION LCD screen. The display is absolutely terrible, I can’t make out what it’s trying to say, not even with my reading glasses. The (HORRIBLE!) manual claims that one can set the LCD contrast. I spent time trying to do just that. However, I could not select the recommended CON function. I believe that this contrast-setting function is somehow missing from the logic. Everything you can do with this watch requires the use of this unreadable display, which makes using it in the manual mode completely unappealing to me. Note that if you’re receiving the radio signal then this should not be a problem for you, the watch will then set itself automatically.HORRIBLE MANUAL: The watch comes with a 1-page manual – a piece of paper measuring exactly 6.5 x 10.5”, imprinted with minuscule microscopic type. This watch CANNOT be used without having studied the manual, and the manual is UNREADABLE (at least to these old eyes). I overcame this problem by scanning the manual into PDF form, displaying it on my hi-resolution 28” display, and then enlarging the display 200%. Now it was readable.OTHER GRIPES-- The seconds hand does not land precisely on the second interval markers. Sign of sloppy assembly. But the watch you will receive may well have it pointing correctly.-- No online documentation. When I first saw the unreadable instruction page, I did what I usually do in such cases: I did some serious Googling. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I then did the next best thing, scanning this page into PDF.-- The watch is advertised as CoolFire. The cheap cardboard box it came in says on top in large letters FIVE SENSES. On the box’s front it gives instructions on what to do with the [sic] “talking watch”. What Talking Watch? I didn’t buy a talking watch, with my bad hearing I’d never hear it talking. The instruction page is headed with “NYSW New York Standard Watch co.”, and the picture there of the watch also proclaims NYSW. No CoolFire mentioned anywhere.

Do not buy!
I have yet to get the minute hand to be closer than 30 minutes to the correct time. I'm continuing to experiment. Will give any updates as needed.

This watch works. Most of the other atomic watches are a pain and not worth the effort.
I have purchased several atomic watches looking for one that works well. All but two of them, particularly the talking variety are nothing but junk and had to be sent back or thrown in the trash. This watch and the Casio Wave Ceptor are easy to set up and reliable.

DO NOT BUY
