I've been looking for the thread that weaves my life together as I consider what's next.I've successfully raised six children; held many part-time jobs; made thousands of home cooked meals; and created many many many holiday gatherings for family and friends.Created spaces that are beautiful and purposeful; learned crafts that provide clothes, blankets, jewelry and baked goods of all kinds. Took hundreds of classes, finished a B.S in business management, raised money for charities, trained people in job skills, started support groups for new mothers, volunteered for Cub Scouts, Brownies and Sunday school etc.The last 20 years or so, I cared for my parents and then my mom..her passing showed the need for help in elder care so I did that. I'm hot on the trail of what's next!If you are looking for your thread this book and it's simple presentation could be just the guide to get you started.I gave it five * because of its delightful content regardless of typeos. Hahaha!

I recently had the pleasure of meeting the author of this book after a presentation he did about Ikigai. His presentation left me wanting more and so I recently purchased this book. Although the concept of Ikigai (discovering your life's purpose) is relatively simple, the author goes into great detail and shares his own life experiences and how Ikigai convinced him to walk away from a well-paying and respectable corporate job so that he could pursue his own life's passion -- "to delight!" -- and delight he does. The book was a quick read and very inspiring. By the end you'll be leaping off your couch with renewed enthusiasm... at least I did! Highly recommended for anyone stuck in a 9-to-5 job wondering what lies beyond the rat race.

A must read book, if you want to change your lifestyle! ✨

The book is extremely superficial and could easily fit into a short article if you remove the empty chatter and numerous stories.

I like the way everything was explained in a very simple way, you can understand and apply as you are reading. As Tim mentioned you do not need a life to start, you can start today to live the life you wish.

Great book to identify your life's purpose! Best book on IKIGAI that I have read. It was easy to understand and implement.

The media could not be loaded. I just started the book and the first 45 pages were stuck together at the top corner. The cover itself wasn't damaged and I don't know how this kind of thing could happen but it looks like something heavy was set on it. Anyway, I'll try to update when I actually get through the book!
