Mom's Journal: What I Want You to Know About Me and My Life

I bought this for my mom, as I did for my dad, two years ago as a gift. It has been a blessing hearing her stories and watching her face when she remembers something from long ago in her past. This is one one of the greatest gifts you can give and experience as well.

I started writing for my kids and really enjoyed the stroll through memory lane. Also enjoy d talking with my parents to add extras for my kids.

My Mom is getting older, and has had a broken leg and a broken hip in the past few years. She just will not slow down no matter what we try, so I bought this for her hoping it would occupy her mind a bit, giving her mind a creative outlet. Making her rest her body more. Was worried how she would take it at first, but she loves it.The book is beautiful. The paper quality is really good. The promps though is why I think she liked it so much.Highly recommend this. If I had legible hand writing, I would get one, but alas.

My mom only has months to live so I bought this book as a way to record her memories. Its a great hardcover book and has awesome questions that jog her memory. We have had fun filling it in and I am hearing new stories of her childhood and teenage years that I never knew. I love it so much that I am going to order one for me so that my kids will have it someday when I am gone. Great way to learn more about each other and to keep cherished memories!

I absolutely love love love this journal got one for my mother and one to start on myself to one day give my children. Perfect gift to actually work on and not finish over night kind of thing. So many pages and so many wonderful questions.Only reason it got 4 stars and not 5 is because the covers were both a bit dirty and I had to get them wiped off. As well as the one question about where we're you when JFK was shot is a bit random compared to the rest of the questions. As well as my mom and I were both born after he died so I guess we'll both be putting how we weren't even thought of yet let alone alive.

I went through this book with my mom and recorded her responses. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it for those that want to learn about their mother's (or grandmother, aunt, friend, etc.) past and thoughts but don't know where to start or what to ask. As a fair warning, the questions get pretty deep at the end, such as questions about death.

Looks nice. It is wrapped in plastic but seems to be of good quality.

Given as a gift. My cousin was sharing how she wished her late father would have written down some of the stories of his life, I chose to gift this to her so she could share her stories with her family.

Bought this as I'm terrified to die while my daughter is still young and that she never gets to know/remember who I was. This book is great and allows me to write down a lot of memories that she'll get to read late. It has eased this fear a bit. Also know that it will stay with me for a while as it touch different times of life and some of them haven't even happened yet.

Go this for my MIL and she loves it. Can’t wait to give it to my kids one day

The book itself is very well made, good quality with a beautiful cover. However I returned it as many of the questions are quite negative and not ones which I would ask my elderly mother to share which would require her to relive the experiences.
