Easy install (once you read directions…)
I ordered these after my 130,000mi Tundra's ride had deteriorated to unacceptable. The units were cheapest on Amazon, and arrived as expected a couple days after I ordered them. I had asked my local 4x4 parts store to price match them as they imply in their ads but they declined…. death of the brick and mortar store but that's another story. After I removed the old loaded struts from my rig, I struggled to get the lower bolt thru the new strut… after a while I finally googled it, removed the upper link nut and nearly damaged my ABS wire (yep I'm not the brightest)… I luckily saw the issue in time, removed the ABS wire attachments, and strapped the upper link to the lower to limit travel so that I could complete the job.The ride of the new struts is AWESOME, it only raised the truck a bit less than 2" but on the softest setting, the ride is super plush and still steers well, no wallowing under braking… nada. I think I have a bit more travel than before the job, the old springs were totally sagging so I also like the look.I did have the truck realigned after the project, in retrospect, I would have driven it a couple hundred miles first as the new springs seem to have settled slightly in the first 200 miles.Overall a reasonable job for the shade tree mechanic just be a bit careful about brake lines and the ABS sensor wire I suspect that replacing them would offset any cost savings in doing the job yourself.

Nice struts, but you may need additional parts for good install
Nice replacement complete strut and spring for my 2005 tundra. I like the ability to adjust the ride like for regular road I use the soft setting and then can stiffen with the turn of a dial for plowing , towing or off road. The strut is great quality and well made by Rancho with a decent Warranty, The only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 is that this assembly does raise the front end of the truck and as this is fine and stated but it did not say anything else would be needed to use for my application. After installing, due to the lift, the inner CV boots began to leak as the angle was too severe so I needed to purchase a differential drop and stretch the boots and re-clamp to help correct CV angle which did work. Drop kit is 2 bolts spacer and about 30 bucks and an easy install, and I also used new clamps on inner boots. Install went smooth but keep in mind that the longer stiffer spring requires the sway link disconnected and then a helper to help push the control arm down to install the lower strut mount bolt. All and all I do like that it is a quality strut and spring that can be adjusted as well that it came ready to install.

just got lucky? great struts!
myself and my 74 year old father installed these. we had read all the reviews and were worried that it would be difficult... turns out it wasn't.now he and I are both mechanically competent. we had a shop with a concrete floor, air tools, welder and cutting torch, a basic farm shop. dad took the left side I took the right we jacked the truck and put it on stands and took off the tires/wheels...45 minutes later we were done. we didn't run into any problems that others did and everything went really smoothly. we used an alignment bar and had to push the lower A arm down to get the bottom bolt in and that was the hardest part.not bragging. just hoping you don't put these off due to others installation horror stories...

Made truck look like jet taking off
Shock- ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Quick lift-⭐️ I wasn’t sure I wanted the front of my truck lifted 2 inches but since I have airbags on the back I figured if it made the front a little too high I could adjust the back a little with air pressure. Turns out I put about as much air in the bags as I can without making my ride bad and the front still is 1 1/4 to 1 1/2” higher than the back. Bottom line- love the shock but wish they made it with 1” lift or no lift at all.

On the passenger side make sure you install the washer on the head bolt area.

Easily replace shocks costing much more
These were better than expected. When my $750 Sway-a-Way coil overs failed at the heim joints and neither the new company nor Sway-a-Way would cut me a deal on replacements, these took their place and my truck rides great! I love the adjust ability. There is a right and a left, they have different part numbers (hence I had to write the same review for each side)

Fit great, took the rake out of my 2005 Toyota ...
Fit great, took the rake out of my 2005 Toyota Tundra 4x4 double cab. Very happy with the ride. Currently set to the softest setting and feels very similar to the factory ones.

Three Stars
Rode a little bit better... Springs aren't nearly strong enough though to handle a winch bumper of any size

Two Stars
Made my ride harsh and stiff. My 2004 tundra now has less wheel travel and hops over speed bumps
