Chern Yueh Flip Up Shield Helmet Visor for 3-Snap Motorcycle Half Open Face Helmets (Chrome Mirror)

I read some of the critical reviews on this shield but decided to give it a shot. I am pleasantly surprised with out clear the lens is and how well it keeps the wind off my face. I wear a half helmet and this shield was the perfect choice. I ride a Road King with a low smoked windshield so my head is totally above the windshield. At speeds above 60 the wind would start to lift my helmet up and push my sun glasses against my face. This shield helped a lot. I wear my sun glasses under it during the day and no glasses at night. Either way the shield does not interfere with glasses and affords great wind protection. I would but this again if needed.

I took the visor out of the package and snapped it right into my Bell Custom carbon 500 3/4 helmet and it took less than a minute to do. I then snapped the three button caps onto the outside snaps. Took the helmet out for a ride today and it worked great. Great sun blocking and stays firmly attached while riding at higher speeds. My only complaint is that when the wind hits the shield the button caps rattle like crazy. I am either going to take them off or put a few drops of super glue to stop the rattle.

It distorted my vision, like a pair of prescription glasses (the wrong prescription). Safety gear of any kind that reduces your ability to see what you are doing are not safe, particularly when driving. The double spherical mold shape outside radius is larger than inside (this is a lens). Also, surfaces were not optically smooth, but rippled. Perhaps used wrong plastic or injected it into the mold too slowly? Technically it functions, yes, but I threw it away.

The cutout for the nose is just a distraction in the field of view and is off-center. I don't really like it and will probably get something else. Maybe it would not bother someone else.

It was easy to install on my helmet but it’s not long enough to cover the amount needed. It just kinda redirects air straight into my eyes which I think is the opposite of its purpose. It’s also kind of disorienting, it distorts the road so kinda very dangerous. I’d invest in a better quality visor and if in doubt go local and try one on at a shop.

Looks good and blocks wind effectively. Easy to install.The problem is your vision will be distorted.Great concept; just wish it was better made.

Installed fine. But, the snaps did not accommodate a visor over the face shield. Wrong alignment. A lot of air still came in through the top. I returned, got goggles, and am much happier.

The first unit that I received was damaged (scratched in shipping?). However, it was quickly replaced. I'm satisfied w/ the purchase.

Disappointed with this did not fit good enough to helmet a gap so rain could run through it

Chrome Mirrorを購入商品画像では明らかにクリアにミラーだが届いた物はダークスモークにミラー昼間でもかなり暗くなるが夜は全く前方が見えないのでシールドを上げて走らないと危なくて使い物にならない。見た目や作りには全く文句は無いが商品説明には細かく記載がほしいまたこのタイプのシールドは見た目はカッコいいがはっきり言って風の巻き込みが凄まじいのでシールド無しより乱気流が発生し風の巻き込みが激しいのでシールドを下ろしているより無いほうが前方が見やすいのは理解して購入したほうがよい（飛び石や虫、雨には有効です）見た目重視の方はこれでも良いがゴーグルなど風の巻き込み対策は別に必須

セカンドバイクのスーパーカブ９０用のジェットヘルメットに以前はゴーグルを使用してましたがベルトが伸びてテンションがなくなってきたのとヘリコプターパイロットのヘルメットっぽくなるかなと購入してみました。ボタンフックの部分にゴムのクッションが有り雨がバイザーの隙間から顔にかからない用になってますこの価格で中々のクオリティだと思います。ただバイザー自体短い為６０キロ位のスピードになると風が巻き込んで目が少し涙目になりますね…。ゴーグルのほうがその点良かったかと思います、でも見た目のかっこよさとコストパフォーマンスはかなり良いと思います。スモークは夜は見にくいのでバイザー上げて運転してます。昼間のトンネル位ならそこまで見にくいことは無いです。原付バイクでの使用なら不満は無いです。バイザーの外側のボタンは要らなかったですね銀で目立つのでプライマー塗ってからガンメタルで塗装しました。

ジェット型ヘルメット用汎用シールドであるため、ヘルメットによってはシールドの上げ下げで帽体に擦り傷がつく。これはシールドを下げた時に必要以上下がらないためのストッパー部分が、シールドを上げた際に帽体に擦れてしまうため。この点はやはり汎用品の限界。しかし、下げた際の視覚確保領域、シールド自体の透明度などは確かな品質で好感が持てる。

他の人も書いているが、スモークシールドにさらにミラーコーティングしてあるので、夜間はまったく前が見えなくなる。スモークも一緒に購入したのだが、それも夜間には暗すぎて使えない。製品としてはしっかりしているので、クリアーかライトスモークを検討した方がいい。そして、なぜ製品としてしっかりしているものに☆ひとつしか付けないかというと、ここで買うとAmazonの通常の返品が出来ない。まぁ、良く調べなかったのもまずかったとは思うが、2900円がゴミになった。
