A functional replacement at a fraction of the price.
It's 2019 as I'm writing this. My 2009 Macbook Pro finally had it's charger and battery give out. I bought an Amazon battery that works great. Purchased this charger to replace my dead original Apple charger. The only drawback I see is that it does not support hooking up the long cable from the charger to the wall. Besides that, its a functional compact charger that still utilizes the MagSafe power connection and works perfectly with my old Macbook Pro. It's a good deal for a functional charger and I would buy it again.

Excellent no frills charger
I was looking for a MacBook charger but genuine Apple is way too expensive. So I decided to buy after market/third party. And so far so good, the charger is light and works very nice. No complaints so far

I bought this charger as a replacement for the first charger that came with the apple laptop (A1342 version). It worked out really well and I recommend it for those who need a quick replacement for a good price.

Bought it on Dec 23. It stopped work on Feb 17. Won't recommend
Stopped work about two weeks after return window closed, so I can't even change it. It's just a day till my kid needs her laptop in the working state for school.Wouldn't recommend to anybody, sorry. A rather big disappointment.
