Easy to assemble and install. Very sturdy

Very easy to assemble. The strap isn't long enough...I wrapped it around the frame to secure it. It's very sturdy to pull on to aid sitting up.

Very important aid for handicapped or elderly. It is a protection to help prevent falling out of bed. In addition, it helps the patient stabilization.

This is the only way I can get out of bed. It is a life saver. The strap is a joke. Just cut off and pitch. I used painter's tape and taped mine to the side of the bed. I have a number bed and still works great.

Purchased for my elderly uncle. He needs assistance for many everyday activities but is able to get in and out of bed without help.

This bar worked so well that I just purchased another one to put at the head of the bed and it works great to give him support to get in and out of bed and also something he can grab on to and pull to assist himself in turning over on to his side. He is a large guy and almost double my weight and this helps so much for him to be able support his own weight. It truly has been a wonderful product in making our lives much easier while facing mobility issues. I highly recommend this product. Previously: My husband has Parkinsons and tends to hang his legs over the edge of the bed while sleeping. I put this bar at the lower end of the bed and it works great and he loves it. Now I don't have to keep getting up through the night to place his legs back in the bed so he doesn't roll out of the bed. Plus he likes it for a handrail to stabilize himself when getting up. We take the top rail off during the day and you don't even know it is there with a made bed.

This rail has the components I was searching for, however, the strap does not go around the mattress for a queen size bed. The product details said it’s not a fit for a king size bed. I was very disappointed. It still works, but it’s not as stable as I’d like it to be.

The above quote is what my mom texted me the morning after my sister installed the Vaunn Rail Assist that I had sent. My mom is in her mid 80's. She had hip surgery a few years ago, and recently had a fall that resulted in a compression fracture in one of her vertebra. It generally takes about 3 months for a compression fracture to heal. The main problem she was experiencing was significant pain. The pain is most severe when she gets out of bed in the morning. To help with the situation, I was looking for a rail that would enable her more easily to get up in the morning. The Vaunn rail enables my mom to roll to her side, pull, and push herself into a sitting position, so that the pain of getting out of bed is minimized. She particularly likes the curved and padded upper part of the rail that allows her easily to position her hands so that she can move in the most comfortable manner. My sister had no problem putting the rail together and securing it to the bed. She didn't attach the holder because it wasn't necessary and she couldn't easily determine how to attach it. We are extremely happy with this purchase. My mom is recommending it to friends, family, and even to her doctor!
