PMXT-66RDK Tenor Sax, Dark, Rolled Tone Hole with Case

This P.Mauriat tenor lives up to its reviews. I’ve done research in looking for a new tenor sax and was impressed by Kirk Whalum’s review. This PMXT-66R lives up to his billing! This is a free blowing, well built contemporary horn, worthy of comparison with existing leading makers e.g. Selmer, Yanagisawa etc. Hand-built in Taiwan, though marketed with strong European references (e.g. to French brass)it is an excellent product. Before I bought I had tried a range of new Selmers, Yanagisawa's etc. I settled on this one for price and performance reasons. It's design is very similar to the Selmer Reference 54 model, which is a few grand more expensive. The P. Mauriat is almost as good as the more expensive model. I've owned two classic Selmer Super Balanced Actions but prefer the P.Mauriat. The finish, engraving,case are all very high quality. Expect a heavier horn, a dark rich tone, great build and excellent case. 12 months after purchase this buyer is still very happy.
