I am more of a confident beginner with good color sense. I really like all the information in here - not sure if an advanced quilter would need it, but very useful for anyone who has questions about techniques about literally anything to do with sewing a quilt, buying thread, buying fabric, what size needles you need and more.I am reading the whole book just to get the basics in my head so I can look up what I need later. This is well written from how to make blocks to figuring out what size thread to buy. Very comprehensive.I would highly recommend this to anyone starting quilting or even fairly competent - there is always more to learn!

Excellent little book. Perfect size and chock-full of helpful tips and information. Very nicely organized so the topic you need is easy to find. Concise and to the point; easy to understand. I've been quilting for 25-30 years and sewing since I was a young teen. I keep one handy by my chair and just recently bought one for my 12-yr old granddaughter whom I'm teaching to quilt. Highly recommend this book.

I brought this book for myself and found it very helpful. I am new to quilting and am using books and the internet to learn techniques and easier ways of doing things. I liked it that much that I brought another one of these books for a very dear quilting friend.Another quilting book that might be a good buy is "Quilting Tips & Techniques" over 1,000 creative ideas to make your quilting quicker, easier and a lot more fun.I first got this book from the library and liked it that much I brought it through one of amazon's outside suppliers. Only available as a used copy. I also got one for this special quilting friend as she looked at my library one and loved it.

I checked this out from the library first, and decided it would be worth buying for reference for a novice quilter.

Was in very good condition and was exactly as described.

I am new to quilting and this book is so I useful for reference, I also liked that it was available as an ebook as I don't buy books any more I don't have the room.

'The Quilting Answer Book' hat über 200 Antworten zu allen möglichen Fragen, die beim Quilten auftauchen können. Und nicht nur Fragen, sondern auch Tips, Umrechnungscharts zum Vergrössern oder Verkleinern von Quiltblocks, Materialkunde etc. Ein übersichtliches Inhaltsverzeichnis am Anfang des Buches gibt einen groben Überblick, im Index zum Schluss kann man auch stichwortartig suchen. Zum Schluss gibt's noch interessante (Web-)Adressen.Alles in allem eine gute Hilfe, vor allem, wenn man wie ich hauptsächlich mit englischen Quiltbüchern arbeitet. Das Buch kann so manche Unklarheit aus der Welt schaffen.Das Buch ist übrigens ziemlich handlich und kompakt, ich hatte beim Kauf nicht auf das Format geachtet und war etwas überrascht, aber jetzt finde ich die Grösse sehr praktisch, es hat gut Platz in einem der Seitenfächer meines Nähtisches.Alles in allem empfehlenswert.
