Delivers on promise.
I'll break it down into three segments, as I've only just begun to use this bench.1. Packaging.- Exterior packaging was a little beat up, but that's more on Fed Ex than anything. Looks to have been shipped prepared for the damage it might take.- Interior packaging was for the most part sound. Everything arrived in good working order, no loose pieces and with the coating mostly free from damage. Very few nicks here and there.2. Easy of assembly.- The instructions were bare-bones, but did give a nice exploded view of the parts and locations. The kit did come with two wrenches that fit correctly, but do yourself a favor and grab a small ratchet. Makes assembly a snap.- The parts themselves were very well constructed. Had ZERO issues assembling it. Holes lined up and bolts were of proper length. Took maybe 30 minutes at most.3. Initial look and quality. I haven't used the bench much yet, as I just received it, but from the outset:- Coating on the bars was well done.- Backboard covering looks well constructed.- Feels considerably sturdier than my earlier benches. Again, initial review. Let's hope that it stays like this.So far, worth the price.

Absolute Tank
Absolute tank. This thing is well worth the money. I’ve purchased and sold 3 benches in the last few months and this is by far the best. This is a keeper and I couldn’t be happier. I have no doubt it could handle the weight capacity although I can’t imagine anyone pressing that much.It has reinforced plywood backing. I bought a Titan flat bench and it was clearly cheap backing and you could hear it crack and pop as you lifted.12.5” wide which is perfect for heavy pressing. The cushion is thick, much thicker than the Rogue flat bench I’ve used. Stitching is good, zero defects. And this went together super easy. No missing parts and box was relatively unscathed in shipping.I would suggest assembling upside down, hand tightening the legs, then flipping the bench and finish tightening while it’s on the floor. This will prevent any wobble.Overall 5/5. It’s great to be able to get quality for 1) the price and 2) fast/free shipping.Don’t hesitate to buy, you won’t regret it!

Very high quality bench for home gyms, on the wider / softer side
Review after one year of heavy, consistent weightlifting:Highly recommend this bench. I got this in addition to a weightlifting cage, a barbell, and plates to build my own gym in the basement (see photo). I cannot be happier with this idea (which is already cheaper than having gym memberships for several family members that use my home gym). This bench is particularly good: easy to assemble with tools at home, check. Very sturdy / even for a larger person benching 250lbs+ it has never ever felt unstable, check.Very comfortable BUT this might be a matter of personal preference: it is a bit wider, and a bit softer / more cushiony than many benches at regular gyms (which tend to be narrow and "hard"). This gives the back and body more support, which one could argue makes lifting easier. Indeed, I find it hard to bench the same weight at regular gyms because their benches are more narrow, so part of my shoulder blades are off the bench, which I am no longer used to, and gym benches are harder / more slippery. However, from a pure strength building perspective, if you are mostly using this bench, then it doesn't really matter-- but it is something to take into account.

Higher quality bench for less
I have originally got a Rep Flat Bench - FB-3000 for $130. It came with dents, a ton of iron sand, rust (despite the checklist on the inside of the box explicitly stating that all of these are not present) with parts sloshing around in the box and the bottom of the cushion bent into an arc (and that is with them advertising that they are using "real plywood, not particle board like competitors"). Needless to day, I returned it immediately. I then ordered Doeplex Flat Weight Bench .. quite frankly with a lot of hesitation and quality concerns, as it cost some $30 less than FB-3000. This thing came very well packed and from rubber feet to bench itself seems to be of higher quality. I am not a fan of the pattern/stitching on top of the cushion, but it's a lot less "in your face" in reality than it is in the pictures. Assembly was a breeze as they even include the wrenches needed. I am 5'9" and its height is perfect. If I were to offer suggestions to the manufacturer, it'd be these in the order of decreasing priority:1. Make the plastic form-fit holding the hardware a bit stronger -- mine came all cracked with washers sloshing around in the bigger box (none lost though)2. Skip the wrenches (save environment, weight, cost, etc) .. but yes, it was nice to have them right then and there3. The pattern / stitching on top of the bench ... make it more plain or get rid of it altogether.Highly recommended and definitely a better choice than FB-3000!

Damaged in shipping.
Bench is sturdy and easy to assemble. However, the company needs to adjust the packing for this product. Box arrived with damage which is expected due to the weight. Similar to other customer experiences, one of the plastic end caps was damaged in shipping (see photo). Will update this review pending the company's response to the damage.
