A great budget-minded choice
We have a screened-in back porch, and we wanted to enjoy movies outside in the evenings after the sun went down. Based on the positive reviews, we took a chance on this projector. After about a week, I'm happy to report that it has met our needs quite nicely. We're projecting onto an 80-inch pull-down screen. As long as it is dark outside, and there isn't a lot of ambient light, the picture is quite good. It was a bit finicky about squaring off and getting in focus across the whole screen. But with a bit of fiddling, I got it to work nicely. The picture is bright enough for our purposes. If this was meant to be our dedicated, all-the-time indoor TV, I would likely have looked into a pricier unit. We just wanted to be able to enjoy a movie outside on nice evenings. We never expected it to deliver a perfect, mind-blowing picture. We were looking for a decent picture and the most bang-for-our-buck, and that's where this projector, with its very low price point, shines. The built-in sound isn't spectacular. We had a spare sound bar that we've hooked in through the AUX port. The projector does not have an optical port, by the way. So if you want big-movie sound, you'll probably want an external speaker.Overall, though, I'm very happy with this product. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-minded solution for a solid projector.

Movies anywhere!!
I got a projector without a DVD player initially and it was a total pain, so I returned it and bought this one and it’s not perfect, sound isn’t great you’ll need a little Bluetooth speaker but picture quality is good and the DVD player is so convenient!! I LOVE the tripod stand for adjusting the picture, the $90 one I had before didn’t have that and it was awful. Comes with all of the cords you could want and a case, which the other one also didn’t have, so you get a lot for that extra $50. Great value, we had movie nights at our bbqs and it was the highlight of the evening! I took it camping and had funny movies on sitting around the campfire, it really kept people entertained! I left it outside one night and it got sprinkled on 😬 still works!! I even took it with me to the hospital this summer where my grandma spent her last couple of days and played her favorite movies, just projected onto the wall. The nurses said they’d never seen that before. Not having to drag around a DVD player with it is great. BUT!!! Doesn’t play blu ray. I still love it I’ve had an amazing time making memories with it 😁🍻

Better than expected!
This is a great value IMO. First things first, have realistic expectations when it comes to picture/sound. This isn't some professional setup. It's a budget projector. This is great for kids or if you just want to have some fun watching a movie in the backyard or game room or something. It was very quick and easy to setup. It plays movies off of a USB stick. I also was able to hook my Roku stick up and it works perfectly. If you hook it up using a Roku stick or Fire TV or something like that you can actually use Hulu/YouTube/Netflix/Pluto Tv and things like that. I used my DirecTV Now account to actually watch a live baseball game the other night. There are other ways to connect via PC/phone but I haven't tried those yet. From my initial testing it gave about a 5 foot by 7 foot picture on my white wall. It was pretty clear and it can be adjusted if needed. The sound is fine, the projector IS a bit noisy so you might want to consider some external speakers, but it does work without them. I just wouldn't expect it to be "loud" with the built in speakers. Now that I know it works, I'm going to pick up a portable screen!I would recommend this.

Not bright enough for lighted room display...but otherwise a great deal
This is a good machine...IF you will be using it in a dark room. In my case, I project "song sheets" on the wall so chords and lyrics are visible to players in a jam. It just doesn't have enough lumins for a room with some lights on. Therefore, it can't replace the creaky old non led/lightbulb projector. At least for this application. But SO inexpensive and excellent for dark display

Great little projector!
Works great on my white wall.Bought this to replace my TV in the bedroom. Had it pointed directly towards the wall and until now I'm loving it.It's easy to focus, nice color and bright enough for use in a dark space. Sound is fine but I am going to upgrade the speakers since this will mostly be used for movies.Took some pictures with the lights off, placing the projector about 8 ft away from the wall.I noticed that most budget projectors under 100 bucks are of a "native resolution" at 800 x 480 pixels. I had some doubts at the beginning but now I'm ok with the image at 80". Although, you see some blurs if you look close. I mean 50" vs 80". Up to 170" for 800 x 480? I think the biggest projection size you could stand to stare at for these budget projectors is 100".After 2 hours of testing in two days my eyes were no worse off than if I was watching TV in the room in the dark. All in all I'm happy with the purchase.

Not worth it
Was just lack luster. If you’re not in a pitch black basement with something you have no desire of actually watching this is the product for you.Between the inability to focus the image or zoom it is basically a paper weight in my bedroom.Spend the money get a Panasonic or a Epson

Worth more than I paid for!
I've used LCD projectors since they came out in the late 90s. I have a $2,500 Epson version in my living room and multiple $1,500 versions at the office and have used them every day for years. I wanted to get a new projector for a family member's bedroom so they could play video games and watch Netflix. The challenge is this family member has a history of breaking electronics so I needed to find a good quality unit but for as low cost as possible.I researched this price range projectors on Amazon and found this unit to get the most for your dollar. The unit is simple to operate and have multiple inputs for various sources which has allowed me to tie in an Apple TV, PC and XBox all at the same time. The quality of the image is great. The sound is good but I'd still recommend external speakers if you want the full surround-sound experience. I'd recommend purchase if you're looking for a low cost, good quality LCD projector.
