The Amazing Adventures of Bumblebee Boy (Ladybug Girl) Hardcover – Picture Book, October 4, 2011

The Ladybug Girl/ Bumbleeboy series is awesome! My 2 1/2 year old son has fallen in love with these books but especially Bumblebee Boy. We purchased this book for our son since he just became a big brother 11 days ago and he chooses to read it pretty much every nap and night time. In this book Bumblebee Boy, Sam, wants to play by himself but his little brother, Owen, really wants to join in. This is a wonderful story or discovering just how fun a sibling can be.We also purchased "Ladybug Girl and Bumbleboy Bee" for our daughter to celebrate her birth.

I rarely give 5 star ratings, but this book is terrific!! My boys are very similar to Sam & Owen. We like the story line, we like that it encourages imagination/pretend play. Sam is courteous to little bro, Owen, throughout the book, and in the end realizes that it is often more fun to play with siblings. I think it is very well written and illustrated. My boys ask for this book almost every night - A family favorite for sure!!!

A fun story; a certain little boy I read it to loved the story and wants to read more about Bumblebee Boy. He has also requested I make him a Bumblebee Boy cape so he can fly about doing fun and good things. The imagination of a child knows no boundaries.

This book starts off with a conflict between two brothers trying to play together, but they figure out how to resolve their differences and get along! My boys (ages 4 and 2 when we first read it) have loved it and I think it helped them see that even though it can be hard to play together sometimes, they don't have to fight and they might actually enjoy playing together. We love how it shows the two characters getting over their issues in a kind way.

Bumblebee Boy makes the Ladybug Girl series more appealing for boys. My 8 year old son who is an advanced reader likes reading this book to his little sister. Just like the rest of the series, this is a great little story and I can't wait to read more about Bumblebee Boy.

My 7 year old son LOVES this book. We got it at the end of first grade and it was the first book he WANTED to read SPONTANEOUSLY!!!!!! He even used it to write a paragraph form book report! I can't praise this book enough.WRITE MORE BUMBLEBEE BOY!!!

This book is good but not great, I purchased it sight (read) unseen and it doesn't flow as well as many of the other kid's books I have purchased from Amazon. It doesn't hold their interest like many others.

I have a 4 year old girl and 2 almost 3 year old boy and this book was written for us. Such a great lesson about including your younger sibling in your games and for the younger sibling about not taking it to heart and playing your own game. Both my kids have memorized the story and now play bumblebee boy at home. Great book.
