Like so many people, I had purchased the Skil 18v NiCad tool set. I have the sanders, jig saw, lights, drill, and circular saw. They run really well for about 30 minutes. So after many frustrated attempted to make these work, they were pushed aside for a Ryobi 18v Lithium Set of drivers. I was lucky enough to find 2 of the Skil Li-Ion batteries, and they allowe dme to bring this kit back out. Unfortunately I could not find any more. I have 6 tools and 2 batteries. I took a chance on these NiMh batteries and I am so happy I did. These run great. They charge quickly, and they are powerful enough to drive the circular trim saw through more than one 2x4. In fact these are so reliable that one driver and battery are now living in my RV. I use it to lift and lower the stabilizer jacks. We have used the sanders until we got tired. They just keep going. If you are on the fence, just buy these. I see the Skil 18v sets online for under $100.00 often for all of the tools. Skil should be ashamed of themselves for sending out such faulty batteries. They should have offered a coupon for a free Li-ion or one of the nimh batteries. I do not have a single bit of regret in buying these.

Good price and quick delivery

I bought two batteries to replace my dearly departed original batteries. They fit perfectly onto my 18 volt Skill tools and onto the original charger. So far I have not depleted the charge in either of these new batteries so I have not tried recharging them yet. But since they held their charge long enough to be pulled from factory shelf and shipped to me and make my tools work I am quite confident they will recharge just fine and last several years till they eventually go the way of all rechargeable batteries.. if at that time this seller is yet selling them.i will not hesitate to order from them again.

This works well with my Skil power tools. Too soon for me to comment on longevity or battery life. I am giving it four stars because apparently it could be a problem to use this with my original Skil battery charger. The battery charges, but it does get warm from the charge - a possible hazard? And there is not a full charge indicator on the battery itself. That said...so far so good. Update...not noticing the battery getting warm from charging going forward, and holds the charge nicely.

I received my order quickly and was what I needed. To early to tell the longevity of the battery life, but as of now, very happy.

Ordered these batteries as back up for my lithium ion battery on a Skil drill and saw. Once I received them them I placed them in my charger, and they would not charge. I could not figure out why, so I contacted the company, giving them all the details of what I have, model # for the drill, current battery, and charger.Within 24hrs the company responded (it was a weekend) and let me know that my charger was for lithium ion batteries ONLY, and would therefore not charge the NiMh batteries I had purchased. Instead of stopping there, I was given a link that showed me solutions to my problem. I was given options of 1: Return the batteries at no cost to me, full refund. 2: Get a lithium ion battery (Amazon link provided). or 3: Get a charger that charges both lithium ion and NiMh batteries for far less than the price of a lithium, ion battery (Amazon link provided), that was a Skil product.So instead of just saying "They don't/ won't work with yours", I was given multiple solutions. I researched a little bit, determined a new dual use charger was the smarter way to go for me. I ordered the charger and 24 hrs later it was in my hands. Works on both types of batteries, Skil brand charger.Batteries are really strong, long lasting, I use these tools almost daily, and take some into the field with me where a charger is not available, so good batteries are a must.Thank you.
