The media could not be loaded.  Today I will be reviewing the A-OH-key-OH AK-60 Professional Condenser Microphone. This is a multi-purpose mic and retails for a suggested 25.99. It is a good mic for people who are on a budget and is fine for podcasting or those who are first stepping into the microphone using world, with an example to podcast, stream, or video making and more.The AK-60 has a great quality feel. It has a heavy metal and sturdy build comfortable feeling. I recomend a wind screen to all mic owners and thankfully this Mic includes one.With the AK-60 I didn't catch any hissing noise at all and with audio software (although not needed) you can make it sound even better.Upon unpackaging the box, contents are as followed:The AK-60 microphoneA Wind ScreenA Mic Stand KitA wire to connect the Mic to the PCand a Business CardInstalling the AK-60 is a snap, simply plug in one end of the wire to the Mic and the other to the PC. It is auto detected and works just like it should, no need to mess around with settings.In using the mic i stand several inches away as reccomended to get the best results, other methods can be used using software you can download for free as well.Last, for about 26.00 dollars you are getting a good quality mic that has better quality sound then headsets in higher price. You can't go wrong with the AK-60.

These "Cheap Chinese Electret" mics are usually overly "bright" in sound...but not the AK60. It sounded much more mellow in the high frequencies. It imitated a less expensive ribbon mic. The usual noise level with these cheaper mics was lower in the AK60.In fact background noises were reduced...even better than a good dynamic mic. A little EQ in the higher frequencies will give the sound more clarity if you want. I used the HF detail knob with the DBX 286S preamp and the AK60 sounded quite good.I'm not saying it is ready for VO work, nor a Steinway Grand Piano recording, but I enjoyed using this microphone

Es un gran producto por su precio, lo único que lamento y por lo cual no le daré 5 estrellas es por la razón de que el micrófono no funciona con el cable que viene por defecto en la caja (XLR-3.5mm), lo cual te obliga a comprar un cable (XLR-XLR balanceado).AVISO!!!: NO COMPRES EL MICROFONO SI NO TIENES UNA INTERFAZ DE AUDIO CON UNA FUENTE PHANTOM 48V!!!!, esto es debido a que como lo mencioné antes necesitas si o si un cable XLR y como cualquier otro micrófono de condensador que se requiere necesita alimentación PHANTOM 48v haciendo que tengas que comprar la interfaz y el PHANTOM 48v si quieres hacelo funcionar como se debe, por lo cual te recomiendo que antes de comprar el micrófono compres la interfaz con alimentación incluidaEquitando de la ecuación todo lo anterior es un micrófono robusto de cuerpo de metal, con buenos acabados y en general un sonido muy bueno por su precio

The sound quality is decent and it's well put together. However, the item isn't really as advertised. The shock stand wasn't included in the package, and it wasn't until after ordering I noticed at the very bottom of the item description it says it doesn't come with one, even though it states "...with stand shock mount..." in the description. Also there is no curved pop shield as in the photos. Rather it's one that goes over the mic itself, not an issue, but thought I would make it known. Aside from that it's a fine mic, the sound quality is acceptable and the cable inclusion is a good help. Not a bad microphone all around.

Set up was straightforward, build quality is nice, accessories are appreciated. It's not the most amazing microphone in the world, but you're paying $23! That you can get a mic as relatively nice as this for that price makes it a justifiable purchase for most people. This will be more than satisfactory for webcasts, Zoom meetings, and even those getting started on YouTube and not wanting to break the bank.

Doesnt work or come w a stand

What you get is a Great sounding Microphone for very little money, It can me used for Acoustic and or Electric Guitar, Vocals , Bass Cabinet , Room Mic ( Over all Drum Mic ) , Voice Over / Pod Cast. No it is NOT a $1000 Microphone However If I had to choose between this and an MXL Mic I would pick this Every Time. For the Price I Really cant say ANYTHING Negative about it . Crisp Clear Sound. . .

I wasn't really expecting much from this mic but opening the box I saw a much larger mic than I expected and it was hefty and very well built. It has the same SPL rating as my Audio Technica and although a little on the trebley side, I was pleased at how it performs. A great deal.
