Really the only thing I think it is good for is using it to scoop out cake batter to make cupcakes or muffin batter to make muffins--it's the perfect size for that. You have to have really soft ice cream to use it as the blunt edge won't poke through even moderately hard ice cream. The quality is only fair. Other ratings talked about how good of quality it is that's why I bought this one over others. I doubt it will last very long, I've had my smaller pampered chef scoop for over ten years.

Terrible. I just used for the first time to scoop muffin batter. The batter was thick and it jammed. The other scoops I have are with the plastic handles. I may have gotten a damaged one. But it’s not worth sending back.

While I like this cookie scoop it is much larger than I wanted. I have used it two times since purchasing and it does make large cookies.
