Would not use them for exterior use
I ordered these because I wanted to put auxiliary tail lights on my car, and I wanted them to have a continuous "pipe" of light, instead of the individual points of light that you see on most LED strips. The order was delivered in a very reasonable time, but they initially did not work properly. As expected, there are two individual strips in the box. I first tested them with a 9 volt battery, and several of the LED's on one strip did not light properly, and would occasionally flash. Okay, these are 12 volt strips, and I tested them using a 9 volt battery, so maybe that was the problem (though in the past, any time that I've tested a small 12 volt LED strip with a good 9 volt battery, they worked fine but were just dimmer than they otherwise would be). So, I hooked them up to a 12 volt power supply, and they worked fine. Trying to make sure the flashing LED issue would not come back, I tested them for a few hours total, at voltages ranging from 7.5 to 12, and they continued to work fine, though they got pretty warm at 12 volts -- I don't know if that is normal or not. They had a nice, bright look. While you could still see the segments of the individual LED's, they looked much closer to the continuous pipes of light than most LED strips do. All right, maybe the flashing LED's were a fluke -- time to install them...So now, since these were going to go outside the car, I was concerned about water resistance. There are end-caps on the side edges of these strips, but those alone would not provide water resistance -- especially since these LED tube-strips have two grooves running the length of the tubes, where water would easily be able to seep under the end-cap and to the inside of the tube, where the LED's are. Yes, the manufacturer did put some sealant underneath the end-caps, but to me, it did not look like it was applied very well, and it looked like there were pits and gaps where water could get through -- though I never submerged it to find out for sure. So, I removed the end-caps to apply my own sealant, but in doing so, I must have damaged the wires on one of the strips, because it no longer worked. Okay, I took them apart, so that aspect is not the manufacturer's fault, and I'm not going to try to return them. But it still looked to me like the water resistance would've been very "iffy" had I left them alone. In summary, these lights would probably be okay for an interior-mounting application, but I would not use them outside in any environment where they would be exposed to the elements.

Awesome for the price!
To those who are looking for reliable LED Running Lights for your vehicle...I strongly suggest you try these out. This review is for the MAXGTRS 2Pcs 17-inch Ultrafine LED Strip Tube found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JMXPK3G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I am a regular customer and, while I don't do a lot of reviews I was so impressed with this light strip I thought I'd put my thoughts out there. They are very easy to install considering I purchased the white only strip. I didn't want to hassle with the turn signal option so I just got white. All I really wanted was to use them as running lights anyways so, I'm not missing the turn signal function which you can also opt for. The strip is plenty bright enough for daytime driving and adds a nice additional look to my car. One word of caution however...the strip feels like a rubber tube and...this being my second strip I had to purchase...I accidently tore my first strip while installing as I was trying to peel it off to reposition it. So...be careful with the strips as they can tare easily. Once you have it installed...don't try and remove it as you risk taring the tube. Additionally, the LED's apparently don't like to much pressure on them. To much and they start going out so, be careful not to have pressure on the tube. As you can see in my photo's, the strips light up just fine with no LED's burnt out (unlike some other reviews indicate). Overall...I still give this product 5 stars!

Super nice lights in perfect length
These are super bright and very flexible. The big problem is that it is difficult to secure them to your car or bike (this is true only for the switchback yellow/white set, the single color lights have been great and stick with no trouble). When I received these, the double stick tape was already coming off. I bought two different types of water proof heavy duty double stick tape, one is 3m, both very high ratings. They peal right off the tubing. I tried roughing up the tube surface with sand paper, no luck. I even tried putting a thin layer of 2 part epoxy on the tubing to glue the double sick tape to it. Again, the 2 part epoxy pealed right off. I've never had 2 part epoxy peal away from something like that before. The double stick tape I'm using sticks to everything else perfectly. It's only the light tubing that I'm having trouble with. Finally got it to work by sanding the tape side of the tubing and then using two part epoxy to glue the double stick tape to the tube.Hope you caught that the single color lights stick with no problem. Not sure what is different in the manufacturing with single color as oppose to dual/switchback version that would make one stick really well and the other nothing will stick to it.Wish they made yellow/red switchback version and14 inch version.

Reasonable product, but could be packaged better.
Lights work fine but doesnt actually leave a smooth glue through out the tube, method of packaging leaves the adhesive strip starting to peel off the led strip requiring it to be redone, unsure if i can cut along a dark part of the led tubing to make it shorter for my application. Not the hardest product to figure out installation but some basic instructions would of been great, but for those wondering, black is grounding/earthing wire, red wire is the white LED yellow is the amber LED. Recommend testing with a 9v battery with black to negative and touching red and yellow separately on positive to be sure the strip is working as intended before installation. Not great, not bad. Just a solid 3 out of 5.
