Excellent knife
You can’t go wrong with Victorinox. I have a few, well made and engineered. This one is an excellent EDC every day carry if you have not come a cross the term. Mine came with the small screwdriver already in the corkscrew, so if you’re going to go for the three items option deselect the screwdriver unless you want a spare. The nanoclip is well worth having if you want to put the knife in a trouser pocket and easily access it. It meets the UK criteria for carrying being non locking and a legal blade length. All the tools you’re likely to need out and about in an urban world. Knife to peel and section an apple, bottle opener and likewise can. Excellent tweezers for splinters and a pen should you not have one on you which generally would be me. A practical tool, might not be the cheapest but what do they say you get what you pay for.

Best EDC Swiss Army kNife
The Swiss compact is great and, in my opinion, the best every day carry SAK available. It has the most important tools to me - scissors, large blade, bottle opener, pen, tweezers. And a few more that are good to have (apart from the parcel hook... I just don't think I'll ever use that! But at least it has a nail file on it). As its name suggests, its best feature is that it's compact - it has two layers, which is just right for fitting in your pocket without it weighing you down and you feeling it as you go about your day.

The only Swiss Army Knife that has a name that it actually earns: The Compact!
I’m a big fan of Swiss Army knives, which is backed up by my small collection. The challenge for those who want one with them all of the time without unsightly or uncomfortable lumps in their pocket etc, is an unending quest. After much research, the best compromise is the Compact. Compared with the huge range, it only has two layers of blades - but this knife is unique. Two of the blades are made only for this knife. The first is a combined bottle opener/can opener/screwdriver/wire stripper, which has been made to replace the smaller blade common on all other SAK’s.The second is a combined parcel hook/nail-file. The file is embedded along the outer edge of the hook. These two blades accompany the standard long blade, the scissors, corkscrew and reamer. This isn’t the end. There are three additional tools housed in the scales: a toothpick, a pair of tweezers and a pen. The pen is very thin - a pressurised ballpoint for emergency notes. There is also a mini screwdriver housed in the corkscrew suitable for fixing spectacles or small electronics (although it’s only a flathead - others can be bought separately). It’s not perfect, but I suspect that the perfect SAK doesn’t exist - yet! It’s the best one for everyday that I have tried. I bought it on offer as the basic price is substantially more than others that have more blades. I gather this is down to the specially made blades for this model alone. I have also discovered that this is the model that the owner/manager of Victorinox carries. I guess he got to design his own.

Probably one of the best medium sized multi tool EDC!
After watching a lot of reviews on the Victorinox EDC’s I finally got one. The Compact in my opinion is the best not bulky and has the exact tools you probably will need on a daily basis.. It was even better if instead of that hook had something more useful but it is what it is.. looks very nice and feels very strong.

Ideal everyday carry tool
For me this is the best Victorinox every day carry tool. I've swapped the toothpick for a Firefly firestorm and added a short length of the Victorinox tinder to the corkscrew helix. Ideal size as it only has two layers.

Best Victorinox knife
This is the best swiss army knife you can get for EDC carry. All of the tools are held on two layers which makes it unobtrusive to pocket carry, the knife is non locking and is under 3" so shouldn't get you in trouble with the police if you get stopped. The tools are genuinely useful - not least the scissors but also the pen and a very tiny hidden pin. It gives you an option to solve most of the problems you'll run into on a day to day basis.

Useful present
Bought this as a Christmas present so still unopened, however I am sure that it will be the usual excellent quality that I expect from victorinox. I already own a couple of the victorinox pocket knives myself and they are very tough, high quality and super useful, I wouldn’t be without mine.

Great tool. Could do with Phillips driver
Every single Victorinox with scissors and plastic scales has this stupid hook on the back of the scissor layer, so I'm assuming it's somehow impossible for them to replace it with an awl or something else more useful. But at least on this knife they have added a file to the back of the hook which is great.Overall this is a great tool. It was my EDC of choice for something like 5 years and served me well. The only big missed opportunity is that it would have been just as easy for Victorinox to offer this knife with a Phillips screwdriver instead of the corkscrew. Due to having the combi tool instead of separate bottle openers and can opener, this tool lacks anything you can drive a Phillips screw with.
