Q: Best size for a 12 pound Shih-Tzu?

I got the S/M for my 13 pound shih tzu and it’s a little loose but it’s alright. I almost wish I got the S size just to see if it would have been too right or not.

Don't base the size on weight. Measure your dog using the three measurements they provide which are: back length, neck circumference, and chest girth. It also runs a bit large so if your measurements are near the lower end of a size range, consider going a size smaller.

Q: Best size for a 2lb puppy?

I bought an XS for my 2lb puppy and it was way too big! Unfortunate because it's really cute sweater and it felt like great quality. They don't seem to make them that small.

Q: Does the underside of the sweater come up high enough for my little guy's "you-know-what" to tinkle without getting on the sweater?

I have a girl doxy bit I would say yes it covers the chest and part of the belly but isn’t a tube that goes all the way down.
