Powerful battery fully Makita compatible
I've purchased several Tenmoer batteries. Four were 6ah and this one is a 9ah. All the Tenmoer batteries outperform Makita brand batteries!I've purchased NEW Makita brand batteries $$$ from the orange bigbox store and the Makita batteries were over 2 years old and wore out fast. All the Tenmoer batteries were new at a fraction of the brand-name price. We have many Makita tools, 2 or 3 reciprocating saws, 3 or 4 drills, 3 or 4 drivers, angle grinders, string trimmer, grass shear/hedge trimmer, even a chain saw. (probably other tools that I forget) So we are very invested in Makita tools and batteries. These Tenmoer batteries are tough, constructed as well as Makita afaik. In the past I've tried other non-branded batteries. Some were good others were not. These Tenmoer batteries are the best as compared to other non-branded batteries and at least as good if not better than Makita batteries. They charge well on the old Makita chargers and the newer fast charge type. They also work just find on older brushed Makita tools and the newer brushless BL Makita tools. We have plenty of both types. For the price it's worth trying one or a pair for 36v tools.

Labeled 9Ah but measures to be 5.0Ah
I always thought this battery didn't really have the 9Ah (as the label says). I measured the capacity today, it has 5 Ah capacity. I rarely use it because it's 50% bigger/heavier. I only use it need the larger capacity. But since it does not have larger capacity, and it's much larger, I rarely use it. The battery has very little usage at time of (5.0Ah) test (less than 25 cycles).Genuine Makita is better value.UPDATE: Tenmoer is motivated to provide customer satisfaction and has sent me one new replacement for the two 9.0ah batteries purchased. But the new improved battery test showed only 6.5ah capacity (72% of the claimed 9.0ah).

One battery stopped working
Would be a 5 star review, but one of the batteries stopped charging after about 4 to 5 months. The second is still going strong about 12 months after purchase.I have dropped it a couple of times from the top of a 6ft ladder, but still works.

Works well
Only been using them for a few weeks but no issues. They fit in all my makita tools. Battery life is excellent. I have a ton of batteries, both OEM and aftermarket, these do last longer than any others. I appreciate the meter on the side, just press the button and the percent remaining shows. They seem pretty sturdy. I've read other comments that they are fragile but I dropped mine and no damage. I would guess that because there are more batteries inside they are heavier and will be more likely to break if dropped, rather than poor materials.

There's your problem right there
I will start by saying that I do like these batteries, and I do recommend them, albeit with some caveats. These "9.0Ah" are about the same capacity as my genuine 5.0 Makita batteries, but substantially cheaper. So if you don't mind carrying around a little extra weight, you can save some money.I've had this pair for almost 6 months now, and already the first one has died. While I may have been guilty of working it hard at the time, that shouldn't mean that it should nearly explode. You can see in the first photo the damage sustained by one of the cells, it got hot enough to melt one of the solder connections, yet oddly enough the temperature fuse was still intact. It also melted the non-gfr plastic case.Another thing to note, is that these will not fully charge on all Makita chargers. I have a teal colored charger that plays the little tune when you plug the battery on, and that one works fine. But I also have a completely black, silent charger that works fine for all my genuine batteries, but won't take these over 40%.So, in summary, if you're a cheapskate and can repair your own batteries, these may be for you. Or just use them on low-current drawing tools (not a chainsaw) and maybe you'll be fine.
