A Better Buy!
This riser fit our elongated toilet perfectly. We had bought a local product previously and it didn't follow the correct contour of the toilet. As a result it was easy to make a mess on the seat, which involved more cleaning. This one is great and the seat sits on it without creating indentations into the riser like our last one did.

Quick and easy install
Got the package at 9:05am. Seat was installed by 9:17am. Fits great! Glad I can still use the original seat and lid. I agree with a previous review by another customer on 2 things, the heads of the screws do stick up preventing the screw covers from closing (for now I'm going to leave it until I get someone to shave it down) and if the riser seat is screwed to tight the front raises (I loosened the screws a tiny bit which worked without making it to loose). I would recommend as it was quick and easy to install and once installed it is sturdy.

Poor quality control made for problems in attaching the riser.
This seemed like a decent design at a good price. The back of it bolts through the same holes in the toilet that the seat uses, and it's designed to put the seat on top, so you can close the lid. BUT the bottom of the product wasn't flat on mine: the area where it would bolt to the toilet was nearly 1/4" higher than the rest of it, so that, when you bolted it down, the part of the riser you sit on was forced up off the toilet. I didn't measure it, but the front looked to be at least 1/4" off the toilet, maybe more. It would not feel secure, and it would put pressure on the porcelain toilet at the bolt holes.

Seems like a decent product but just couldn't get it to work with my 'round' Kohler toilet.
Seems like a decent product, but I just could not get it to be stable on my 'Round' shaped Kohler toilet. I even had my brother in-law come over and help, he is like a Macgyver and a mechanic and all that and we tried different washers and spacers and what not and every time it would just come loose after one time sitting on it.It's a weird system to me, with these little pieces that are supposed to fit into little slots and spaces that are too big or something...I don't know why they didn't just make it a straight 'hole' that the metal 'screw' goes through...it seems more complicated than it needs to be. Maybe the idea is that it will work with different toilets, but for me it just didn't work out.

Easy to install and handy for older individuals
THis was relatively easy to install and raised the seat sufficiently that it is easier to get up and down to the "loo". It probably takes more time and skill than some others that just clip on, but it is much more stable.
