I really like this product. It was very easy to install, and it just took my cat 3 or 4 days to get used to going in and out of the new door.

I recently purchased this cat door, and overall, it has proven to be a great addition to our home for our feline friend. However, there were a few challenges we encountered along the way.Firstly, I must say that this cat door requires a bit of training for your cat. Our furry companion took some time to get used to it, but with patience and positive reinforcement, she eventually got the hang of it.The installation process had its share of hiccups as well. It's a task that's much easier when you have two people working on it. There's a crucial point where you need to ensure that all the pieces are perfectly aligned and snapped together. This part was a bit tricky, and it required some additional effort. However, once we got it installed properly, the end result was well worth it.Despite these minor challenges, the cat door functions wonderfully once in place. Our cat now has the freedom to come and go as she pleases, and we appreciate the convenience it offers us as pet owners. It's sturdy and has provided a secure entrance for our cat.In conclusion, while the installation process can be a bit challenging, this cat door is a fantastic investment for any cat owner. Once you overcome the initial hurdles and get it properly installed, you'll be delighted with the convenience and freedom it provides for your furry friend.

My cats easily use this door to go in and out of basement whenever they would like. Installation is a pain though

It took a little while for all three cats to learn how to use the door. One cat is a little 'dense' and still (after several months) rams it several times with her head before trusting it enough to come through.The door is installed in a window and allows the kitties to pass into their splendid little catio.The cat door is installed in a window far enough under a wrap around porch so rain is not an issue. It seems fairly weatherproof and doesn't allow a lot of wind to blow in unless it gets stuck partially open. If you don't clean the felt perimeter often, cat hair tends to stick in the fiber around the door to allow a "hair clog" that can keep the door open a few inches. That may not be an issue with short haired cats but I have three hairy beasts.The cat door also saved me from calling a locksmith when I locked myself out of the house one night. I was able to enter the catio, remove the cat door and squeeze myself through the hole.The cats were very confused.

I like this cat flap a lot but it's not easy to install on a double glazed glass door - had to get people in to do this for me and cut out the panel.Once installed it's good - great size - though not super-large I must say.My only gripe is that the door often 'sticks' and doesn't close properly to the shut position so it is left partly open - letting the bugs in. I nearly always have to go and push or pull it closed after the cats have gone out (usually out not in).Also the plastic has now broken in a couple of places in the rim. I may order another to replace the one I've now had for 3 years.Overall though, a good cat flap and despite the niggles, I would recommend it and the 4-way functionality is great.

My (3) cats love this door. Allows them access to the outside so, no litter box needed.

I installed this exact pet door by PetSafe 13 years ago when I built my home. I was surprised to see the same item in the same size still available. This was very convenient because it was originally installed inside a wall and not a door. So no extra work needed to be done to replace it. I simply unscrewed the old one and replaced it with the new one.The original door survived 13 years and was the only passage to the litterboxes of my 5 cats! If you can imagine…every day 5 cats passing through this door several times per day…for 13 years! The only reason I replaced it was because I wanted a nice clean new look.The old one was still working perfectly but the felt seal had long since worn away from weekly cleanings. However, the locks and swinging mechanism still performed perfectly. The lock options are great for holding my kitties in their litterbox room when I have company or when I have construction guys inside my home who might accidentally leave a door open. I just flip the lock to allow the cats to go inside their room, but not be able to leave it. If I flip the lock the night before, all of my felines will have made their way inside by themselves by the next morning which eliminates the drama of catching and placing them in the hold room manually. They do it themselves! lol!That said, as with the original, I had to remove the metal clip in the door because my cats can’t/won’t force it open. They assume it’s locked, so I have to remove the metal clip that attracts itself to the built in magnet and now it swings naturally. Sometimes when the wind is blowing, the door will swing open but most of the time it stays closed from just gravity.Yes, I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a reliable pet door with locking options.

Great cat door. We have 4 cats, and they are all quite large, with the biggest being around 20 pounds. He fits through it no problem. They all figured it out within a couple of days, so now we can keep the basement door shut and they can use their litter boxes down there as they please. Works great, although I have locked them down there a couple times when we are going in and out of the front entrance frequently because they are indoor only cats, and I feel like if they push their faces against it hard enough when it's locked, they could potentially break the door flap, although that has not happened yet, fingers crossed. Installation was a bit of a pain in the butt, would be easier with 2 people, but instructions were clear and concise, and it looks great because my husband is quite handy. All in all, very happy with the quality and function of this cat door.

It wasn't the correct one when it arrived, as stated on the advert a chip catflap but that's not the case, it's just a normal flap, I paid £15 to return it but was lucky to receive the postage money back due to sellers error

This is a pretty good cat door. I have had a lot of the same one over several years. It works good until it is about a year of two old. It does get brittle in the sun and after that a startled cat can run right through it which shatters it and then you are ready for a new one. It is a bit of a unique shape so I do keep buying them.

It does not have the microchip as advertised
