Beautiful phone, basic, works with Tello (read review)
There is something wonderfully nostalgic, simple, and grounding about a very basic, 2g phone. (Edit : Tello works! Tello works! They’re an mvno, and so far, I’ve been able to make and receive calls on Tello! Thank God! It might sound silly to be grateful for something like this, but getting this phone to work has been a journey! I had to stick the SIM in a 4g LTE phone first, let is sit there and use it in the 4g phone for a week, then migrated it to the Blu Jenny. So far, so good! Hopefully it stays active and doesn’t blip out on me, but so far, Tello’s working! They have very affordable, customizable plans, too.) The phone itself is cute, and very functional. It's fun to push the buttons, and I realized I missed t9 texting. It has this cool, telescoping antenna, a built-in FM radio that works even if you have no signal or data, and international analog TV built-in. Phones should all be like this. The camera is very, very grainy, but that's ok. It's meant to be a phone first, and it's not meant to be a social media powerhouse. As big tech, big data, big government, and social media increasingly merge, it might not be a terrible idea to switch to something simpler. You can "triangulate" a person's location based on these things, but I don't think you can be directly tracked with pin-point accuracy; no gps. I don't need or want social media on my phone. Plus, it'll be easy to use this thing abroad, as many countries in Africa, Asia, and the Americas still have 2g. I'm thrilled with this weird, clunky little phone. I hope that I can get it up and running with a SIM. I'll let you guys know if I can. If all else fails, I have a nice, $25 radio that can be used as a telephone over seas.

Disappointed
I was wanting a No Frills phone as an extra for the vehicle, and thought this would work. However, after acquiring to different phone cards only to find out neither is compatible. Very disappointed with this choice and feel it's a waste of money.

Good, cheap phone for international calls
This is a cheap backup phone. It doesn't do much well except make calls. It's unlocked and GSM. You can pop a SIM card in it and make calls just about anywhere in the world. Pros - inexpensive - works well as an international phone - good 800 support - charge lasts a long time - powers up and down quickly Cons - worst instructions I have ever seen - cheap construction - if you drop it it will probably break My story I had seen these BLU phones on Amazon for a while. I've got a locked Verizon phone and I wanted to have a cheap backup when I travel internationally. I got this phone and SIM card for about $35 and I'm in business. Tested it while we were in the Caribbean and it made clear calls. It's so cheap I don't care if I loose it. It took me a while to learn how to use it. To insert the battery and SIM card, you snap off the entire back cover, like snapping apart a cheap toy. You'll see two SIM card slots and a slot for a microSD card. SIM cards come in different sizes (who knew?). I bought one from sim4globe.com. It came as a pull off on a credit card sized plastic card. The SIM has two plastic wrappers for different sizes. The BLU takes the largest one. So, you have to keep the SIM and the two wrappers together and carefully insert into the SIM slot. It's tabbed for alignment. The microSD card slot has a metal flap and tab for alignment - again, difficult to insert. But, once you have both, you put the battery on top of the slots and it holds everything together (amazing). sim4globe.com SIM came with a good instruction manual. It was easy to go online, create an account, and add $$/minutes using my PayPal account. There are two SIM slots but I only used one. When you power it up, it will search and locate an available carrier. When you make a call, it calls the party, then your phone rings. You hit the answer button and it will complete the connection. Weird, but it works.

No longer works on AT&T's network due AT&T's 2G network shutdown.
Seems like a decent device, very worthwhile of its price. It was a bit bigger than I was expecting, but I wouldn't complain. Buttons are easy to press without accidentally pressing others. The screen is exceptionally large, thus making it very easy to read content on it. However, I found the SIM card slots fairly difficult to access. The cages ended up chiseling away at my SIM card when trying to insert it. Eventually, the device stopped recognizing a SIM in SIM Slot 1. Even while the device recognized my SIM in either slot, it seemed unable to connect to my carrier's network (Consumer Cellular, with an AT&T-based SIM). I tried manually inputting APN information, but with no luck - the device only showed "Emergency", or otherwise "No service". I tried calling Consumer Cellular to see if they could connect the device via its IMEI numbers, but again, no luck. I believe the issue may be that AT&T no longer has a 2G network, thus causing this device to be relatively useless. As such, I don't think I can recommend it for use in the US if you want to subscribe to AT&T, but otherwise, it's a solid device for the exceptional price that it's offered at.

Excellent phone for the money. Use it in Canada with Rogers and Fido. In the USA, AT&T T-Mobile, and many others still provide GSM 2G service. Overseas, it will work everywhere there's a GSM network. Nice large 2.8" color display compared to many that have a 1.77-2.2" display. TV function is strictly analog, so useless in North America, but very handy in other parts of the world. Digital camera takes nice crisp clear pictures. The video portion is a little choppy, but good for such an inexpensive phone. The battery lasts a long time, even when using 2 sim cards. The speakerphone is loud and clear, the built-in FM radio is so handy, and the overall size is excellent, and easily fits into your pocket. Its also great that it charges using a standard micro usb charger or data cable with a computer.
