What I needed for 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. Front and rear diff oil change no friction modifier! No issues driving afterwards.

If you’re planning on using a cheaper alternative for your rear differential on a modern GM truck, stop, punch yourself in the face, light some money on fire, and then purchase this. After replacing my diff cover on a 2024 Silverado HD that had taken a rock strike while off-roading, I made a huge mistake and filled it with Lucas Oil 75W90 full synthetic gear lube. It’s the right weight. It’s full synthetic. It’s supposed to exceed the manufacturer’s recommendation for lubrication. But it didn’t. I had more rattles, chatter, and grinding coming out of my axle than I had ever experienced. Last night I switched to the AC Delco - It is also full synthetic - and man, what a world of difference. The chatter and grinding stopped immediately, and the truck is running great. I’ve heard and read a lot of reviews on gear oil for older vehicles, and that less expensive stuff may work great in them. For my 2024, though, it’s not having anything but the original equipment. I would have saved a lot of time and money, had I just purchased the AC Delco first, but now my $250 cover and fluid change has run me over $350. Lesson learned. Nothing but OEM from now on.
