Very very nice
The best kit that I have seen so far. This kit includes everything that you need to begin brewing right in the box. Aside from a little bit of preparation, you won’t have to buy anything additional to make your first batch of beer using this kit. The only downside to this kit is the fact that they didn’t include a sanitizing solution. Sanitizing is one of the most important aspects of brewingThis was my first time with these beer kits and I like them so much more than the Mr. Beer. For one, they make a lot more which makes the price worth it. I got 50 bottles out of it and only couldn't use about half a gallon because of the aroma hops that settled on the bottom. The only confusing thing about the instructions is when to add the aroma hops. For this kit it sounded like adding them to the end. Even though I read the instructions before making it a few times, the aroma hops was still a little weird how it is worded. I think I did it right because the beer tasted pretty good. Being my first kit I feel I made a couple of mistakes, like not allowing enough time for the wort to cool naturally. There didn't seem to be any ill affects, it just took a long time to do as opposed to my second batch where I started it earlier and let it cool over a few hours while I did other things. Since I wasn't spending time cooling the wort the second time, the amount of time to make was less than spending an hour cooling many gallons of boiling hot liquid. I really like these kits and plan on buying the different flavorsThis kit is perfect for those of you who are new to home brewing or thinking about upgrading from a smaller batch size fermenter. It is just as easy to use as some of the smaller size begginer home brew kits, but it has a few more advanced tools that really let you customize and create better home brewed beer. The products that come with the kit all seem to be of high quality and everything arrived packed neatly and in good shape. The instructions are very easy to follow and guide you every step of the way. It really isn't much harder to use than the smaller 2 gallon begginner kits. The instructions teach you the process with an easy basic, but tasty, brew. It then gives you a recipe for most of the major styles of beer. All you will need is an ingredient kit, a big pot to brew in, bottles, and a few utensils to cook with and this kit will have all you need to make great beer.I will recommend it to many other people tooGood kit for first timers and newbies. Good quality products exceeded my expectations. Be careful not to scratch the inside of the buckets when cleaning them as this can leave tiny spaces for "stuff" to grow and produce off flavors in subsequent batches. Overall I am very pleased with this kit. All the items can be stored inside the buckets and make for a compact storage situation. You may want to think about investing in a glass carboy not only for quality but its fun to be able to watch the fermenting magic. If you like beer you will like this kit

I really like these True Brew kits
This is my second batch using True Brew kits. If you price the ingredients for a single batch separately, they usually add up to a little more than what these kits cost, so the price is great. The instructions are good, although I do things a little differently from what they say. I generally boil it for longer (50 minutes or so), and I use more water in the boil. Use as much as you can, in fact. I use three gallons, and only need to add about two gallons of water to the fermenter. Also, I cool the brew pot rapidly by placing it in ice water after the boil, before adding the wort to my fermenter. That cooling settles out a lot of the sediment at the beginning. I think those changes to the instructions makes for better beer. This Octoberfest looks almost black in the fermenter, which is what you'd expect. For whatever reason, though, after finishing for a couple weeks in the bottle, and ultimately pouring into a glass, the beer is a medium to dark amber; lighter than I expected. This is not a criticism, just an unexpected observation. The beer itself tastes great, and this is my second batch of True Brew that friends have commented on saying it tastes every bit as good as any microbrew you can buy in a store. Also, you will really want to let this ferment for two or three weeks, not one, and then age in the bottle for AT LEAST two weeks.

I really like these kits and plan on buying the different flavors.

Description and guide in making a 5 gallon beer seem ...
Description and guide in making a 5 gallon beer seem straight forward. If unclear check other videos on making home made beer. This is my 2nd batch but 1st with this ingredients.update:During the cooking process, I used a pot that can 1 gallon. Followed the instruction. At the end, I cool down the pot to room temperature and poured into a 5 gallon container with yeast, then filled it with water to a maximum of 5 gallon level. Mix the mixture and I let it sit in a room with stable temperature. After a week, I added the priming sugar (stir/mix) and pour into (5)1 gallon containers.2nd week, color still a bit muddy even though most of the solids had settle on the bottom5th week, down to my last gallon. Dark but clear (free of floating solids), taste is a bit bitter compare to the 2nd week batch. Seems to be more potent that the previous weeks.
