Every Man's Bible NIV, Deluxe Heritage Edition, TuTone (LeatherLike, Brown/Tan)

UPDATE: I love it so much I purchased another (3rd) as a gift for a doubting friend...he's challenged and agreed to read it at least. I said an uninformed opinion is nothing but ignorance, an unexplored area is unknown, and until all the facts are in, you cannot form an intelligent opinion in which to base an entire philosophy (one way or another). He's an analytical guy. I will dispense with the preliminaries first: the product arrived on time, as described by Amazon & manufacturer, it was shipped without issue, arrived within prescribed estimates, the packaging was undamaged, and the product itself was unmolested and made with quality materials. Description, photograph, website presentation, and what arrived are the same-size, shape, color, and it matched my expectations. The item was shipped in the box as seen on the website, quality covering, and a quality Bible, the imitation leather feels and looks great. The Bible itself is nice to look at. On to the practical: my son is 12, I have had the Bible for over a week and have utilized many of the features listed in the product description and I am so impressed with its quality writing, it's comparison to my numerous other Bibles, notably, the King James Catholic version, its spot on and far more informative than three other versions that I purchased this very same Bible for my son. NIV is the Bible in plain English and has a distinct advantage over KJV, I do not have to spend much of my reading time trying to comprehend old English. The features within this version are fantastic, adding depth, character, and a level of personalization I had never envisioned. It highlights a mans duties and scripture specifically geared toward a mans walk, and the character portraits are great. I love it.

My husband ordered 5 men’s bibles to decide which one he liked the best. -The NLT men’s fillament was great but he isn’t a big note taker, no commentary in it just the SOAP bible study at the bottom of the pages. -The He Reads Truth was ok but the Bible is absolutely HUGE and had nothing in it for specifically men. -The John MacArthur study bible was wonderful but the NASB is too hard to understand for your everyday reader in our opinion. -The life application NIV too small of print- gave him a headache from reading. -This one- the font is just right. There are notes at the bottom that are definitely not in depth like the MacArthur study bible but they are still helpful-but very ME centered. The devotionals are really nice and helpful for men and the book intros are cool. I especially love the little “how long does it take to read” the NIV is an especially nice translation to read that doesn’t stray too far from the original text. The size of the Bible I think is my husbands favorite part. It fits so well in his hand and is so comfortable to hold and flip through. He chose this one out of them all.

This Bible caught my eye, because I'm in the first year of marriage and found that specific content that is geared towards Biblical manhood would be helpful. The Bible has a yearly reading plan, character studies, and commentary. The introduction to the chapters includes a summary of the chapter, a walk-through of the chapter, key verses, and even a forecast of time to read through the chapter. The character studies are very insightful and invites me to look closer at the specific people included in the scripture. The charts are quite unique, from Paul's Mission Journeys to spotlights of topical studies such as "Perseverance". These spotlights are very helpful and help me just open up sometime and read a series of verses that guides my thoughts to a Godly understanding on several topics. Overall, the Bible is very durable, light-weight, and comfortable to read in bed to even take outside of the home. I recommend this Bible. Only wish they had the NKJV or ESV translation.

Bible that was easy to understand for my nephew. He is still using it.

I'm jealous because I bought this for my husband and I really wish that there was a woman's version of this by the same maker. Sadly, I have yet to find one that I like. My husband isn't big on reading religious stuff, even the Bible. But, he wants to learn and after spending hours comparing the different translations of the Bible, New International Version (NIV) was the one I settled on. I've got a KJV (King James Version) myself, but it was always hard to get through. I have since bought myself a simple, black NIV version, which I thoroughly love, because I no longer feel like I'm reading some other language. I can now understand it. This Bible is well thought out. If you can, go to a local book store and take a look. BUT DON'T BUY IT AT THE BOOKSTORE! Trust me. It's cheaper on Amazon. Our main book store is a Barnes & Noble, so I don't feel bad about not buying their products. Our little local book store is crazy expensive, but wonderful for quirky old books. Amazon is the leader when it comes to our new-book purchases. If you can, get the Amazon app on your phone. It can scan the barcode and search for the item so that you can price compare while in store! Wow. That makes me sound like an Amazon rep. I'm most certainly not. I just love Amazon. Back to the Bible. This Bible has great stories/learning sections that can relate to a man's problems in every day life. It has time lines, maps, and more. I'm so happy with this purchase.

I was looking for a Bible that I could take anywhere. I feel confident that it looks masculine in appearance and it addresses my desire to deepen my faith. This Bible is very durable and very informative. I highly recommend it as a gift or for personal use for any man seeking to mature in his faith.

I bought this for my husband to encourage him to get deeper into Scripture, he is so impressed by the way this Bible is structured. It’s set up to encourage men to have a deeper understanding and relationship with God. I perused it , and I too was impressed with the structure. There’s a section aptly titled “Band of Brothers “. It’s to help men to come together and have fellowship.
