Best heater elements to use under your favorite grips.
These are the best heaters to order if you want to put heaters under grips of your choice. Notice that they do not have an external resister like some kits do. Those resisters get hot when in use and use power even when the heaters are in low. These heaters have two different elements for high and low and notice that one is marked for clutch side grip and the other for throttle side grip. The clutch side heater provides more heat to compensate for the grip being on metal, which acts as a heat sink, so this higher temperature heater element keeps that side as warm as the throttle side. As I finish this review I am ordering another pair for my other bike.

Good handwarmers
Used on my Triumph Tiger 800 handgrips. These are designed well and they work great. Don't expect your hands to be hot wearing winter gloves at temps under 30F though. Just enough on Hi to keep my hands from freezing. If you wear thinner gloves and the temp is above 40F, they will get hot and you will need to turn down to Low. Highly recommended.

Symtec Grip Heaters are great!
I’ve been using these for years on every thing from enduro race bikes to road bikes and they work great. Take your time on the install and think about where best to install the on/off switch for easy access while riding. They get plenty hot. I’ve never had one fail. Don’t waste your money on the cheaper brands.

Its great to have these hand warmers "on call" at the flick of a switch
Installed on my dual sport motorcycle during the winter holidays... I chose to install them over my existing (small diameter) grips, sanding/filing their outer surface smooth, then attaching these heaters, then adding grip covers over these heating elements. I like larger diameter grips and had seen others suggest this method (having used it for years) to minimize heat loss to "highly heat conductive" aluminum handlebars... Result: I use the high setting to speed initial grip warm-up, then use the low setting most of the time which is toasty warm. Early results: its great to have these heated grips "on call" when I get cool riding! Another installation choice I made: I purchased a rubber cover for the switch toggle to improve its water-resistance - 11mm 7/16" Threaded Waterproof Toggle Switch Rubber Cover Cap Seal .

Don't ride from home without them
How can anyone ride a motorcycle without heated grips? I turn these on anytime the temp drops below 72. Absolute necessity.Best to hook up with a relay, or be prepared to bump-start your bike. I hooked mine up with the relay on a to-do.Despite my attempt at being mindful, I eventually left them on while at work.I live in a horribly flat place, so everyone leaving work got to see the idiot huffing and sweating, trying to bump his bike to life across a parking lot (and not drop it). Lesson learned.

not what they used to be
I've used these in the past and have been very impressed. Unfortunately, what I received was not what was shown in the photo, and was quite different from what used to be shipped. Several problems:1. The metal bracket is not included, not are the cable ties.2. More importantly, the heating elements are the same for clutch and throttle. Additionally, the brown epoxy coating at the wire connections is not there.Bottom line is that something has gone amiss here. What's shown in the photo is NOT what is being sold. What IS being sold appears to be an inferior product.Hard to know what's going on here. Are these counterfeit? Doesn't look like it, but then on the other hand....Assuming they are genuine, be clear that if you ordered these heaters in the past because they worked really well and were very high quality, based on what I received this is no longer the case.

Power efficient
I bought these because low setting actually uses less power.Other grips use resistors to reduce the heat output. They still consume the same amps on low or high. These switch between different sets of heating elements. The heating elements for low consume less power. So, if your running lights and other accessories at the same time, you can just use the low setting and save amps.
