I have been trying several dash cams now and have been sorely disappointed by the image quality. I tried this one because it boasts of the 2K image resolution. But the fact is, you still can't make out license plates from more than 10-15 feet away.Pros: This unit has potentials for GPS, additional camera and external HDMI output (HDMI mini). Unfortunately, those accessories don't seem to be available for purchase. Max SD card size is 128GB. It has a feature that beeps you if you are too close to either of the traveling lane markers. But since I mounted it to the left of the rear view mirror, it keeps thinking I am driving too close to the left. At zebra crossings, it also thinks I am too close to the lane edges.Cons: It is still NOT true 2K though slightly better than 1080. The unit gets very warm during operation. I wonder how it would do in the summer heat. It's tape-mounted to the windshield. While this makes it secure when pushing buttons, it is also very unforgiving. If it's slightly off, you cannot adjust it. Neither can you turn it to record something on your left or right. I tried recording in 2K, 30 frames per second, as well as 1080 60 frames per second. Strangely enough, the file sizes are the same. Hmmm... the math doesn't work out here. The light sensor also seems to be off; on a normal sunny day, the image would be a wash-out. The screen is tiny, barely enough for the menu.

I have been using this camera for about a week now. It has a pretty good build quality. The videos and picture quality seems to be of decent quality. I had no problem attaching it to the windshield of my minivan. The mount is stick on type so you will have a less bulky mount than the suction mount type . Also it comes with a pretty long cable to I was able to route the cable in a way that it is hidden.The camera do not have WiFi viewing capacity so you have to physically get the card out or get the whole camera out to watch the playback if needed. Other than that , no really a disadvantage for the camera . Overall ,I am happy with the camera.

Shall update with further details after installing in the car. Preliminary - very sturdy build, logical, GOOD MANUAL. Since it is Omnivision, it should have very good daytime performance and not-so-good at night for poorly lit areas. Do suggest to go over the settings in the menu, as default settings are PAL and 50HZ flicker, while for the USA you need NTCS and 60.On the computer screen 1440 resolution when it has been pointed on the office papers DOES look sharper than 1080, but not as drastically as one would expect by the resolution numbers, so it may be a case of insufficient image processing power.

Very disappointing. Went for an hour drive. The unit would boot, appear to start recording (blue light blinking) and then the screen would show horizontal static lines, followed by a white screen, then reboot.It did this for more than an hour drive.Did not save any file to the sd card during the drive.My adapter is a dual 6 amp, 36 watt. So, not my adapter. Other action cameras work fine with this adapter.Received today, will be returning tomorrow.

Exactly what I needed! I bought 2k mini car camera as replacement for my previous dash cam that broke. It is sleek and fits in well in my car. The quality is awesome for the price I paid. It is so easy to navigate and review footage and can easily see what’s going on, read numberplates in either day/night situations. What a fantastic dash cam, definitely worth it!

Pros: small out of sight has lane departure warning clear picture in cloudy days and night.Cons: picture quality not as good during sunny day.All in all it’s a good dash cam. Small enough that you can install below rear view mirror and does not obscure your sight.

First one was DOA and looked used but amazon sent me a replacement that wasn’t used and worked. It works fantastic now. I suggest getting a dash cam hard wire kit so you don’t have to take up your cig lighter outlet and have a ugly mess of wires.

I ordered this dashcam as I am looking for one that does not require you to run a wire from a cigarette lighter to the camera. This one was listed as battery powered. Not so. It had a power cord. Did they mean the car's battery? Then they should state that.
