Does not lock event files and there is no way to manually record an event. Both features on my Garmin dashcams for less than half the cost of this one. Overall great cam for picture quality and installation.Addendum ... We had our first hot days recently and this cam didn't fair very well. I have a Garmin 35 in a black Suburban and a Garmin 65 in a black BMW and both have serviced me years, and to this day, with no complaints. Even in triple digit heat both Garmin cams ran with only a few thermal shutdowns which is to be expected when it is 105F outside. The hottest day recently was 85F and the body of the cam warped so bad the end cap is barely on. This is an issue with cheap plastic in the heat.

I’ve had this camera installed for just about 8 months - and it has unfortunately died. It will power up when the I start my truck and then turn off within a few moments. This is at all times - warm, cold, day, and night. I have reformatted the SD card and checked all of the connections. No solutions.The seller is working with me on a warranty request currently.

Installed in a 07 Civic, a 16 Odyssey and purchased a pair for my parents. I had them professionally installed, so I can't comment on the complexity. However, the installer commented that they were a pair of well-built cameras and easier to work with than most. The quality is great. Per connectivity, I had wi-fi setup through the Blackvue app (which kinda sucks) but have disabled that. The problem is I would get in my car, turn on Google Maps, and couldn't get a connection. Turns out my android kept trying to connect to the BlackVue wifi and wouldn't connect to T-mobile. Took me a while to figure that out and it was frustrating. However, I'm not deducting any stars for that because it's not critical to me. It's easy enough to pop out the card and I only want to view the videos if there's an accident. Otherwise, I plan to just forget about these.

The camera is a great design and very good picture. Problem I have is that I wanted to live stream the interior of my vehicle, because I'm a part time Lyft driver. I found out, that even though the app. Won't let me register my camera without a password for the cloud, this camera doesn't work with the cloud, so I can't live stream the interior, which is why I bought it in the first place. I did a lot of research to find a good quality camera, and this one I believe is, but I didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to live stream the picture

Cameras worked great. Came with everything you need to set up. 2 things that I would change or add. 1 the cord to the rear facing camera should be shorter if you plan to mount it uber style to record occupants. Kinda hard to hide 12ft of cable. And 2 offer the ability to use other sd cards besides your own brand. They are way overpriced just because they’re “optimized”

The recording is very crisp/clean. I have had the camera now for a few weeks (including a vacation to the beach), and it seems to be reliable except for the GPS (add on component). That only works about half the time for some reason. Need to contact the company about that. Otherwise, love the camera and would buy it again.

This camera has a great discreet design. Both cameras are small and simply designed. Very easy to install and seems very reliable so far when compared to others. The Wifi, the App and Desktop program work exactly like they should every time. The whole package has obviously been engineered and tested to just simply work. Very refreshing when comparing to other inferior cameras. Iv'e only had it for a short time, so time will tell on the longevity. Do yourself a favor, spend a little extra and get one that does what it says. Thumbsup
