Great idea, but not for every pet.
Straight out of the box, I put in the batteries (I wish they were easier to change because they ran out fairly quickly) & chose a cover. It's pretty heavy, so it's probably better for dogs. It started off pretty fast & both cats ran away! Then the younger cat, came around & started following it -- it took him a couple of sessions before he would venture to attack it. Our older cat was curious, but always kept her distance. It's been a few days since we've used it, so I'll try again, since they're more familiar now. It would also be nicer if it were smaller for cats & maybe 2 speeds, which might make the batteries last longer. When it drops off a step, it can turn itself off by hitting the off button.

Be careful!!
This ball comes with covers that zip on. In less than an hour my French Bulldog puppy broke the tab of the zipper off and swallowed it. Fortunately she passed it without complications. I do not recommend this product.

Cool idea but poorly engineered - doesn't move much.
Doesn't have enough power to really roll over it's own weight and gets stuck on it's axis, spinning but not moving.

great size, doesn't fit under things as easily as a tennis ball
The main thing we were looking for was a fuzzy ball that our cat can't lose so easily. At four inches, a tennis ball is less than three, it doesn't go under the couch and other places nearly as easily. Now, as for using it with a battery in it remember, it doesn't roll or travel around, but it wobbles back and forth in place and that fascinates the cat who then whacks it around but without losing it. It's a good idea and very good deal.

You have to install a AA battery. There are no instructions so look at the description on the Amazon website because the battery compartment is not easily identified. Seems to work ok.

Kept Puppy entertained
My 1 yr old Pomsky loves this! Saw a way more expensive version online but didn’t want to spend the $$. This worked just as advertised. It also came with additional covers too. Which was nice because my puppy ripped them up very quickly!

Not worth the money!
Outer covers are made of cheap material, zipper tab comes off easily and material easily ripped during intended use (dog play). We went through 2 covers in 10 minutes! Ball doesn't roll easily with covers on, better without cover. I wish I could return it ...

He likes it!!
Christmas present for my German Shepard I gave him sneak peak he seemed to love it. He opens presants so he will be happy!
