As described
Assembly is hassle free. I believe it goes without saying the finished product is greasy goodness. Sadly clean up was quite a core, bits stuck in every nook and cranny even after a soak. Fun yes, frequent usage certainly not.

The Perfect Bacon Bowl
I am sorry that people had problems with using their Perfect Bacon Bowl. I used mine for the first time here at work and it turned out great as well as good. I used thick bacon, it wrapped around the bowl easy and stayed in place. I followed the directions on how to wrap the bacon. I cooked it in the microwave a total of 4 minutes. I cooked it first 2 minutes then checked it and then the last 2 minutes. The bacon was a nice crisp brown color. (well done). I didn't have any problems at all removing the bacon from the bowl, it slid right off. I then topped mine with green peppers, broccoli and eggs also made in the microwave. I had a nice yummy breakfast this morning. I made the bread bowl using refrigerated grand biscuits and they turned out really nice golden brown. I filled them with cheese broccoli soup again with no problems. The biscuits formed nicely over the form. Last but not least for my daughters sleep over I made Chocolate Chip cookie bowls, the kids loved them. The girls added ice cream and chocolate syrup to them. Again no problems nicely made. Perfect Bacon Bowl, thank you for this wonderful invention.

I can't believe this actually works
I honestly didn't think this would work. It worked perfectly the first time I tried it after unpacking it. I used Turkey bacon from Oscar Meyer and it cooked perfectly. I was skeptical when I followed the directions and the wrapping bacon was just sort of sitting loose around the the X positioned bacon strips. But when you cook it the bacon shrinks and contracts and hardens around the shape of the bowl mold. I made my X positioned strips a little longer just to make sure everything was good. Be sure to put the fat side up per the instructions as I think some of the fat is used to hold the bowl together. The result after letting it cool off is that I got a perfectly cooked Microwave turkey bacon bowl. The resulting bowl was water tight, so I could actually put something liquid in that bacon bowl and it would hold it without leaks. So now I'm gonna try a microwave Egg poacher product to put poached eggs in the bacon bowls :)

Makes bacon in shape of a bowl
First of all it takes a little experimenting to get the Perfect Bacon Bowl down. I still don't have it down to a science after making about 20 bacon bowls over the course of 3 days. (Rouse's had 3 lbs cheap generic brand bacon on sale for $4.99). This allowed me to come up with a few techniques.I recommend spraying the bowls with a non-stick spray before laying down the first strip of bacon. Makes them much easier to remove from the bowl. Really, that's the only technique and it was already printed in the instructions.Second, bacon from a microwave is not bacon. If you are using these bowls, cooking bacon in a microwave and complaining about it, the problem is not the bacon or the bowl -- it's you. Finally, there's really not much going on with these bowls. Sure you can come up with a few recipes and get creative, but we're talking about bacon here. It's not going to last long once it is cooking and the scent is in the air. I found myself eating bacon shaped like a bowl 3 nights in a row, sharing lots with my dog for training purposes.

Versatile Bacon Bowls
I love my bacon bowls and, they worked perfectly the first time in the oven. I took the time to experiment with them and found many interesting uses. I do recommend that 2 pieces of bacon, cut in half, are used to first crisscross the bottom, to better seal in the ingredients you use to fill the baked bowl. Also, allow the bacon to warm up a bit before you try to wrap it around the bowl, as it will stick to eachother better. I used Bisquick croussants to wrap the bowls for other uses, such as salad bowls, weenies and beans, taco fillings and a seafood Newburg. Play around and don't be so ready to give up.

Perfect Bacon Bowl.../Not Really!
The Perfect Bacon Bowl is far from Perfect! I was very disappointed when I open the box and saw the size of the Bacon Bowls to begin with. Following the directions that came with these bowls I realized that cooking bacon in these bowls in the microwave would be a problem.....the grease would really pop all over the microwave unless the bowls were covered completely. In addition, the grease draining in the well of these bowls could spill out easily since the sides of bowls were very shallow. Without using a potholder or something similar, the Bacon Bowls were very hot to handle with the very short handle built onto the bowls. Cooking bacon in my oven wasn't better! I had the same problems that one had using the microwave, plus, I couldn't remove the cooked bacon bowls. The bacon was stuck to the bowls and trying to pry the cooked bacon off eventually destroyed the basket leaving pieces of bacon stuck on the Perfect Bacon Bowl! Returning this product to your company would have cost me more money than the original cost of these bowls! So, I am giving them to "Goodwill."
