Speedball 10010 Mona Lisa Silver Flakes - Composition Metal Leafing Flakes - 3 Gram Pack

I use these on salon clients' nails for nail art. They are very fine/thin and don't add bulk to the nail. You can even stamp over them for more art options. I highly recommend them.

I make poly resin rod with these Silver Metal Flakes. It works great.The only thing to keep in mind is these are NOT genuine silver. They are mostly aluminum. In fact, I got pretty close to the same look using aluminum foil instead of these flakes, but not quite. Looked more titanium than silver. (Hmm... Maybe time for a new product!)The key to casting in resin is to mix VERY thoroughly, and use pressure. If you cannot use pressure in your casting (35-45psi seems ideal) then add just a few flakes at a time, mix them in, then a few more flakes, and so on.I'm glad the new packaging explains what these flakes really are. The previous packaging gave the impression that they were genuine silver.

Uhm... I use this for makeup accents with some glitter to have a pretty silverly going out look... Works great!

I used these flakes when I redid my kitchen countertops! The flakes were fairly easy to work with and they made all the difference in my countertops! They will fly around out of the packaging but that was minimal when I was very careful. Overall I would recommend this product!
