When I opened the package I was somewhat disappointed at how thin the sweater was. Okay; there was nothing in the description that claimed it was thick and supple, so I have no reason to complain. When I tried it on, however, I had to struggle to get the button through the too-small hole, and that won't be convenient in the future. The biggest problem, however, was that when I took it off I discovered that my shirt was pretty heavily covered with lint from the sweater. This after only trying it on for a minute or less. I'm hoping that after laundering it will shed less, but am not optimistic.Well, I laundered it. And even put it in the dryer. (It completely filled the lint trap.) To its credit I should say that it withstood the delicate cycle of both quite nicely. But the thing is a freak of nature! It just continued to shed and shed and shed, happily spreading lint all over anything it touches. For me, that basically makes it unusable.

When I first ordered this, I was bit worried, as there were reviews mentioning about too much lint as well as fiber sheds.But I thought it could be just isolated incident, as there are always few percentage of defects. So I just went ahead and ordered two. One red and one gray.Well, it turned out, the gray one was great as other reviewers mentioned.No lint, no shed, no problem. It fit great and felt great.But the red one had problems. There were too much lint, and if I try to wash the gray one with the red one, the gray one was FULL of red lint. (Washer cycle was gentle with vests in the mesh bag).I thought the lint would go away soon after few washes, but it got worse, and I found fibers start to shed and edge lines are getting distort.So, I contacted the seller, and the seller quickly replaced it, and the new red one is the same as the gray one - no problem.I'd give this 5 stars as a defective one doesn't reflect the quality of the regular ones, and I really like the quality of regular, non-defective one.But probably checking the seller rating before ordering one might be a good idea.

This is a good looking LIGHT sweater. Do not expect a heavy Irish knit. Again, it is a nice looking cable patterned sweater. It is good for keeping the chill under control in your apartment or house. My better half loves the look and feel of it as well. Me, I LIKE IT. The others were right. They said to get one size bigger then normal. That made a good fit for me.

Excellent sweater.. The fabric feels really nice. It is a medium weight sweater so it feels just right for temps in the 60 - 70 degree range. As some of the reviews said, it runs small.. I wear XL shirts and sweaters. But I ordered an XXL which fits perfectly.. So I recommend you order a size larger than you usually wear. I would buy it again.. Also excellent price for this sweater.

I bought this for my 93 year old dad when we went on a flight-wanted him to look nice and keep warm. The vest is beautifully made and looks rich and expensive. He gets cold easily and likes to wear a vest to keep his shoulders warm.Vests are easier to put on then sweaters--he really liked this one. It does have some wool in the knit but it's machine washable so easy to care for. I would purchase again.

I only 5 stars to a product I've used for some time and am sure of. That said I liked the look, feel and fit of this sweater. It's a little lighter weight than I'd hoped for but it is totally acceptable. The lighter weight means I can wear it into spring and early summer. Overall I'm 100% pleased.

Just got this sweater yesterday and I really like it. I wear sweater vests to work 3-4 days a week (Yeah.. I'm that guy). I own 8 vests currently and really love some more than others. I've ordered a couple from Amazon and this is by far the best quality one. Size was perfect for me. I am 5'9" tall and weigh 200 lbs. I got the XL and the fit was perfect to wear over a dress shirt (with undershirt too). I'm ordering the coffee one to go into my collection.

A tad steep but worth it. Great quality. It's a little snug, but I'm a big guy so that's on me.

After wearing a coupole of times yesterday, I hand washed in cold water these two vests. Then, I air dried for 20 minutes to make sure they would not shrink so they could dry on a hanger. To my great surprise they are both covered in lint inside-out. Very disappointing. One was a Christmas gift and the other was a Valentine gift. I sincerely hope these can both be refunded as it is too late it seems for the one I purchased before Christmas. I will gladly return them both but please send me the refund authorizations. These vests are fabulous and traditional. My husband wears a 38 in suits and we purchased the vests in MED (coffee and charcoal) and they fit perfectly; and if one were a little heavier set, the garment would not be too tight.I am so happy that these vests are available as my husband is used to wear a vest every day even at home, and in the past we had difficulties finding a suitable one. These look absolutely fantastic with a suit or casual.Washing: I have given these garments what I call the “royal treatment” in the washer (separately – in warm water and without a laundry bag) because I suspected that some of the shorter fibers of natural yarn would shed. And yes it did, as is understandable. I dried the vests in the dryer as well on very low heat (adding a couple of towels as is my habit) and I must declare that I was very much impressed because now these vests look and feel even nicer than before because the sheen is gone and the wool and cashmere have taking over. Mind you some more fibers were found in the dryer, as expected – but the end result is great; and I would highly recommend this Vest! Even though it contains only 35% of wool/cashmere fiber; it bears a down to earth price tag; and worth every penny.

Remember that old prank of putting black ink on the eye piece of binoculars so after someone uses them they look like an idiot with black all over their eyes? This is the sweater version of that. Beautiful sweater vest, nice feeling fabric. Great fit. But when you wear it it sheds all over your shirt and goes everywhere. Inquirey to seller brought confusing informatio. That manufacturer forgot to remove "balls" and I shoukd wash them and then "remove balls" but be careful because I light cause more "balls". I tried all that. Didnt help. Looked like i got caught in a gray snowstorm. I'm sending them back.

Husband has wanted one for 3 decades and I wouldn't let him have one as young men don't wear cardigan vests but now that he is old I finally let him get one and he loves it.
