The stones are listed as Created (synthetic) Sapphires. They are NOT. They're selling synthetic Blue Spinel but trying to pass it off as Synethic Sapphire (Corundum). Not the same thing by any measure.

These are just as advertised! Beautiful pink-red created rubies. And exactly 200 by my count! Prompt delivery and unbeatable pricing. Very pleased with this Seller!

Correctly labeled by the manufacturer as Red Corundum, these are beautiful gems display the full fire and flash you would expect from a fine corundum synthetic gem--they are NOT spinels. Quite a good value, I will buy more, but I would also buy them in 12mm round if ever made available in that larger size.PLEASE NOTE: I also purchased the blue stones in 10mm, and this color--as well as the green stones--are NOT corundum-based--they are spinels. Although these spinels are almost equal to corundum-based synthetics in fire and flash, I find the blue stones a bit too dark for my tastes, and I would recommend a lighter color profile, just for the blue color.

I have never checked a sapphire to see if it's real, so I took it to a local jeweler. It was appraised real, but definitely lab grown, and then I was apologized to as if I was swindled. Apparently the quality is very consistent, and the cuts are likely machined. In the 2 appraised after only a couple of minutes I was told they are internally flawless outside of the telltale signs of lab growth. I dont need items like this often, but when I do again this supplier will be a consideration.

Product is good but all under sized but was able to utilize for my project. I don’t understand why these Stone dealers cannot measure correctly. If it supposed to be 2mm then that’s what it should measure these are supposed to be machine cut. Adjust the machine.

Really not worth the price. You always take a chance buying on amazon, I regret this one.

Hubby got this for our grandson. We received just what the intro said but hubby didn't read the 1,000 pieces part.LOL -- beautiful color. Maybe someday we'll use it for a really special project.

I thought these stones were lab created sapphires, however on the jewel box they came in was labelled Spinel. I actually thought I was buying one stone. It turns out to be 50. They can't be created sapphires for that price. I didn't return them because they are pretty and I can use them for something else.
