Patient Weight Scale for Hoyer Lift - Use with Any Patient Lift and Any Sling

At first, I tried a 4 pound bag of sugar to make sure it was accurate. It was and now I know my son is 10 pounds lighter than I thought he was. This is really easy to use and it’s helped with his medication now that I know how much he weighs. Would buy again and highly recommend it

This scale worked as perfectly. My son has muscular dystrophy and uses a power chair and a ceiling mounted hoyer lift. It is very difficult to get an accurate weight for him. I saw a similar version at the hospital so I searched on Amazon. Found this one and took a chance. It gave a very accurate weight and was very easy to use. It fit perfectly onto the Hoyer lift frame and we just raised him up and got the weight. We do have a portable hoyer lift as well for travel but did not try the scale on that one however it looks like it would work just as well. I would highly recommend this for anyone in a similar situation who needs an accurate weight measurement device for this purpose.

Having to weigh a stroke patient daily has been made so much easier with this instrument. Easy directions, quick to learn, we have hooked it up to the sling for the hoyer lift or even the shifting pad. It does add some length to the lift so we cinch the scale strap up as much as possible where it wraps around the hoyer lift, and then lift her to clearing the bed. It measures so quickly my mother is up, measured and back down before you know it. A few seconds later she's unhooked from the scale, hooked up directly to the hoyer lift and ready to be transported somewhere else. So much love for this scale!

Would have given ZERO stars. The first item we received was put together with the scale upside down. We requested a replacement. After receiving the replacement item, that was put together correctly, we found it does not give an accurate weight. "Why?" You may ask. The scale does not give enough time to suspend the patient from a sitting position with a hoyer lift to obtain a weight. The directions were extremely brief. You have to turn the scale on while lifting the patient from a sitting position. If you turn the scale on while the patient is suspended, the scale Zero's out. We attempted to use the scale in reverse by lifting the patient, zero the scale, then releasing the patient for a negative weight. Of course that didn't work, but it was worth a try. THIS IS THE SAD PART OF OUR STORY: By the time we found out the item does not work for our purpose we attempted to return the item but it stated a return was already processed. We guessed it was the replacement item they were talking about. Also, they used the original ship date claiming it was over 30 days. After attempting to contact the seller multiple times with no return communication, we gave up. We just wasted money and time. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT.

We had some struggles getting this scale to work. It kept timing out or stopping before I had my brother completely lifted from the bed. After several months of frustration (we gave up for a little while), I wrote to Hutchison's customer support, explained the problem we were experiencing, and asked for guidance. They responded within a few hours and provided a very clear explanation of why it was happening and what we needed to do to correct the problem. Now it works perfectly! We are thrilled!! The package arrived on time it was well packaged the instruction manual was excellent I bought an HP printer that didn't have as good instructions I was impressed with the tag that was attached to the safety strap showing the correct way to feed the strap through the catch was able to weigh my wife with no problem

when you are in your hoyer sling, and use this for a wt you feel all squished in, NOT comfortable at all, it needs to be a longer bar so you are not all squished waiting for wt

Hubby is totally bedridden, cannot stand up to get on a scale.he also obviously gets no excercise, so its important to track his weight..he has high blood pressure!This made it possible!!Easy to use! If l could give more stars,l would!
