Wonderful for quilting!
These pads are a hot trend in the quilting world right now for good reason. Traditional ironing boards are sized for clothing, but Fat Quarters and many quilt blocks hang over the edges of a traditional ironing board. I've been using this pad since the day it was delivered and love it. I do a lot of precision piecing and find it gives me a firm, solid surface. Added bonus that I can use it next to my machine if I have a pattern that needs constant pressing between each little seam. Be aware that it's wool, so it smells just as you imagine if you use water spray. I'm a knitter, so I don't care, but if you have allergies or don't like wool, this may bother you. This company threw in a few extra notions, but I bought it for the generous size.

Great pressing tool.
The wool pressing mat is great for quilting, makes my seams nice and flat. When I use it for pressing fabric, I add a fine mist of water, and the creases come right out. I ordered the large size to lay across the ironing board. It's a bit big but I love all the room I have when pressing pieces. Wish I would have had it a long time ago.Someone mentioned there was a smell, but wool will smell with water and heat. Let it air out and use it in a well ventilated area, no problems.

No starch needed.
I love my wool pressing mat. I initially only used it for quilting. It made the fabric feel like I had used starch, making the fabric easier to work with. The fabric also stays in place on the wool mat. I started using it on clothes that I press. It works beautifully. I only wish they had a size that covered the entire ironing board. I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I’ve been recommending it to everyone.

This May makes ironing fun and faster !
Love this wool pressing mat !! Some reviews I read said there was an awful smell but I didn’t have any problems and it makes ironing go so much faster as it holds the heat so it’s like ironing on both sides. It’s made ironing fun for me!! You won’t be disappointed at all !!!

The matte was just as described and arrived quickly and in excellent condition. These matte are great for pressing quilt blocks. This size is great for larger blocks!
