I never write product reviews, but this camera cover is amazing.
All around great solution for those looking to enhance their personal privacy and security. The camera cover is easy to install - you just remove the sliding magnet from the base, peel off the protectant film from the base’s adhesive back, press and hold the base, and put the magnet back on the base. When I first installed, I followed these steps; however, when I put the magnet back onto the base, the magnet actually pulled the base from where I had positioned it! So, I put the magnet on and then nudged the base back into place - where I gently yet firmly pressed it to keep it from moving around so the adhesive back could set. I also closed my laptop to get it really secured over my laptop’s camera, but if you’re buying for a tablet or smartphone, you could probably just flip the device upside down on a hard, flat surface and accomplish the same result. Needless to say, the magnet is legit and won’t be popping off randomly unless you somehow accidentally get under it and remove it from the track. Yet, using this method, the magnet is also conveniently easy to remove. I have pretty long nails, so I imagine that makes it rather easy for me- it might be a little more difficult if you keep your nails very short.Upon initial installation, the magnet slides with a little more resistance than I expected. I’ve found this has gotten better with use since purchasing roughly a month ago. My laptop uses facial recognition, so I’m sliding this camera cover opened and closed multiple times throughout the day. This was also a big reason why I wanted something like this product rather than placing tape or a sticker over my camera. I didn’t want to place adhesive and leave residue over the actual camera- plus I also personally find those solutions a little tacky. I like the sleek, integrated look of this product; it blends in nicely and looks like it’s actually part of my laptop. Plus, you get 5 in a pack, which is a killer deal, in my opinion... enough to put on all of my devices with a few left over in case I need to replace the ones I have currently installed in the future.I’ve also found that the sliding magnet really works best if you have medium-length or long nails - it’s much more difficult to slide the magnet using just my fingers rather than my nails. However, this may be less of an issue if you don’t plan to use your camera regularly.

Very thin, easy to mount and operate
This webcam privacy cover is just a very thin neo magnet and a very thin steel frame. There is really very little to it. But it is well made, very thin and tiny. I have a Macbook Pro. It doesn't effect closing the lid at all. I have one on my cell phone front camera. I don't feel it with my ear and it takes up hardly any space on the cell phone LCD. My phone doesn't have the display up around the ear speaker so it covers no active display. The magnet slider is so thin you are unlikely to snag it in your pocket. If there is something steel in your pocket, it may be attracted to the magnet. if you have a camera in your phone that has motion control or image stabilization, the magnet may interfere with this. Most front facing selfy cameras do not.Very nice!

Best fitting for MacBook Air 2018 that I have found
So far, this is the best fitting camera cover for my 2018 macbook air. I have had other metal or plastic covers that I have tried and they all wont let my laptop close. This one isnt perfect either, but it allows my macbook air to close fully while set on a desk, it may or may not pop open alittle while in my bag. It almost matches the thickness of the rubber gasket around the screen, and with the magnet in the macbook screen, it does pretty much keep closed. Normally the plastic ones are the thinnest, Im impressed they were able to make a metal one thin enough to fit my computer.

A little too large.
These are definitely helpful and well made. I would have given 6 stars but for the fact that it's a LITTLE large for the space on my phone.. in other words, in order for it to cover my camera lens, it also covers the part of my screen that tells what percentage the battery is charged and how many bars I have. For reference, I have a Samsung S8+.

slim, and tiny - holds fast
It's very slim. A little difficult to open/close because there's no nub. It just barely fits over my macbook camera without covering the green activity light next to it. So far the adhesive is great (my previous cover kept sliding down the screen). Just a little pricey for what it is. Also, when my wife put one on her iphone front camera and when the cover is closed the camera seems to be affected by the slide magnets (not black screen but a blurry white one). Also, the sliding shutter is only held in place by magnet. So you have to be careful not to knock it out/off when using it on a phone in your pocket.

Works great - sticks well, but can be removed when needed.
I've used about a dozen of these on different employee laptops and I couldn't be happier with them. They are easy to align, adhere well, and work easily day-to-day to open and close the cover. The magnetic disc is more reliable than some of the sliding mechanical ones, and the fact that it's made from aluminum, it holds up better than its plastic competitors.I've used them on all flavors of laptops from Dell to Asus to Apple, all with good success. And when needed, the frame pops off pretty easily to remove it with any residue easily removed with some windex or a cloth.I'd highly recommend them!

... my camera on my phone and it was all good fit perfectly snug a few days
So I had this for about a week and a half before I had my first issue I covered the back part of my camera on my phone and it was all good fit perfectly snug a few days. When after a few days started feeling very loose so I gave it a little push trying to reinsert the stickiness to the phone directly to it my iPad nothing else and then not even two weeks later it fell off completely 100%. Yeah that's the whole purpose of the device and what I couldn't find it. Got lost among other items. The front camera surprisingly which was the main concern actually worked for the longest like a month yep you heard me right amount and that's fine except for a month are you serious so yeah that still sucks it just started falling off the day before yesterday without any extra exertion on it sparked no reason at all haven't been moved or necessarily ask to do anything so what I notice is slipping looking a little less dirty I looked at it not only is it about to fall off but the paint is chipping so if it was to be sturdy hold tight Not only would it be there it would be nice or because all my black phone my black cover would then turn silver or gray but would not be holding up to how I purchased it

Substandard adhesive.
Glue doesn’t quite stick to my screen. Finger pressure needed to slide cover moves the whole thing. Adhesive seems below standard required.
