Sandalwood - Gonesh Incense Cones - Pack of 25

Would have given a 5-star rating, but it is very difficult to light. Other than that, this incense is worth every penny. The scent is very pleasant and light. I usually don't like cone incense because no matter what scent they say they are, they all stink. I will DEFINITELY purchase this incense again.

After opening the box the first thing I noticed was the scent; a little stronger than average. Getting them to light was a bit more work. The traditional 3-5 seconds wasn't enough. I found it takes about twice as long (or more) - my reason for a less than perfect score. This can be annoying especially if it goes out 10 seconds later. Once lit, the scent quickly spread throughout the room. My previous brand was very heavy and had a tendency to make me choke when used in a single (not even that small) room. This brand is a lot smoother with a better aroma. Some of the reviews complained about the scent not lasting very long, but I didn't see it. The scent lasted as long or longer than my previous brand. I usually buy the incense as an afterthought, along with other items. Both times now the incense was first item I received. The company does a fantastic job of getting the order filled and shipped.

I confess I am rather new on the scene of incense. I got a pack of this sandalwood as part of a package deal on Amazon, so I would receive free shipping. Sandalwood is one of the oldest and most common scents that you find in those strange little shops that sell this sort of stuff. It is definitely very pleasant and aromatic, and I recommend it for anyone that is either new to incense, or an old veteran that for whatever reason hasn't got around to trying this scent yet. If you bundle either enough of this, or with another pack of different incense, you will receive the free shipping. And thus avoid having to pay the higher price in those weired stores.As for the other reviewers observation that this incense is a little harder to light, for what its worth, I tend to agree. I have 4 or 5 different brands here, and this one does indeed require a little more patience to get going. But it does eventually light, and the resulting aroma and atmosphere are well worth your patience being a virtue. Recommended...

We have usually used sticks and are not very familiar with cones, but we found these sandalwood to be excellent. You could smell them over almost the entire house by the time the cone was done burning. I would have given it 5 stars, but I have a hard time getting excited about paying so much for incense. The box says they are made in the US, and that would be the only reason I would pay so much for incense. Also, I didn't have to pay for shipping, so that helped. Just don't by the cinnamon made by Gonesh. It was terrible. I've already ordered another one of Gonesh's line to see how it works.

I ordered these because I LOVE the gonesh incense sticks in this scent but now have also acquired a cone burner. The scent seems quite a bit heavier when up close, but is less noticeable from farther away. Thee cones are hard to light, although they do stay lit. They do not put off much smoke, which is good if you want something a bit less obvious, but I love lots of smoke billowing through my burner so I think I will continue to use the sticks and find another brand for cones. These could be the perfect product for someone else though.

The best sandalwood scent, but overpriced.

This purchase was worth the money in my opinion. I bought a pack of 25 incense cones for under $5(S&H included) and they smell wonderful. My only complaint is that they burn out a bit faster than other incense cones i've used and are kind of difficult to light. However, they are still really decent incense and are a perfect addition to my altars at home.

Gonesh charcoal cones have a unique smell that seems more pleasant to me than some others. And Sandalwood is by far my favorite fragrance. These charcoal cones seem unchanged since I first got them in the 1960s. They've gone by various names such as Rani and Rama but have been Gonesh for at least the last 20 years. Still made in Chicago, USA.
