I used this for making Makgeolli at home - and it works great!
This is the "yeast" used for making Makgeolli - Though its actually a bit more complex than that, the point is this is the product you will use to break down the rice into edible bits, converting the end result into the delicious Wonju - which can then be used to create various end products, including Makgeolli.

This Assi nuruk works well for my 1st, 2nd and 3rd batch of Makgeolli aka korean style rice wine
Enzyme nuruk really did a good job but without added yeast result was more like rice yogurt. Then, with added yeast for the 2nd and 3rd batch it tastes so great...

Cheaper than the Korean grocer I used to shop at, same quality.
I use nuruk to make makgeolli. This is the same or better quality that I had been paying more for at the grocer. It's conveniently delivered to my home too!

I haven't tried any other brand. This worked fine and I made decent rice wine, Makgulli. Price is higher than Korean grocery store.
