I have been using this product 45+ years. My mother would use it on my hair as a baby.The Only product that works with my fine hair.I liked the metal tube better.The smell reminds me of my childhood,I love it!!

Vo-5 makes my hair look healthy, shiny and calms the frizzy bits! I have super thick hair which is curly and wavy. This old school product is the only thing I can find that makes it look great. My mom used this on herself and all my sisters since the ‘60s. Yep. I love beauty and hair products and used to be a hairdresser. I have tried a ton of products but always come back to this one. It’s greasy feeling in a way, and you really don’t need a lot and you definitely don’t want it near your scalp. I damp dry my hair, put dime size in my palm and rub, then apply to the bottom 3/4ths of my hair ( hair is shoulder length) focusing on the ends. What’s left I run through the interior of the the hair in same area. I then blow dry and flat iron my hair and can get it very smooth and I’m good to go for days. My sister also still uses it but she lets her hair air dry. It makes your hair look so glossy and healthy. Also it keeps my hair from looking too big and fluffy. Only a thick haired person understands. At times I will sometimes apply a tiny bit to shine up the ends through the week. All in all it has stood the test of time. The most I Important thing is to find the balance of not too much not to little. I wish the smell was better, it’s the same as many years ago but I will always have it on hand. Recently, I did run out and used some hair care products I received in a beauty box. I thought well not too bad, until I got the Vo-5 and realized that product wasn’t doing me service at all. A little goes a long way so you won’t run out to fast.

Luckily the scent dissipates after an hour or so. The scent reminds me of an obnoxious body powder from the late 80s - early 90s. With that said and even being EXTREMELY sensitive to scents , I wholeheartedly recommend this stuff of you have dry, frizzy hair. This is the only product that I have EVER, in my 44 years, have come across that actually works. A dime size in wet hair, prior to blow drying locks in the moisture. It has a Vaseline like texture to it and my hair is HERE for it !
