Works like advertised. Was able to remove the surplus panels. No longer have to fret about the breeze blowing out my pocket rocket stove.

The "short" version is the perfect height in my opinion for liquid fuel stoves, as it's enough to fully surround an 8" cast iron pan and the base of the stove, but without it falling over due to wind. We used this on two different MSR stoves for maybe a total of 2 hours cooking (15min each). What has happened since is, the metal for some panels is paper thin to the point that it's like tin foil. So obviously the panels have lost their strength, or, they maybe even literally melted and the material moved to different portions - and hence why the physical thickness of SOME panels is now so thin that you can bend it like TIN FOIL. It was NOT like this brand new. Again, this is only 15 min cooking chunks.While it still stands on it's own for now, i believe this is going to become more and more delicate as time goes on. That said, it is VASTLY SUPERIOR to the MSR aluminum foil shields, which are ruined after one use. I can put this in the dish washer, and its basically brand new again. It's also significantly more stable, as the legs on both sides have a stake to dig into the ground and hold it up. 8/10 ; for $10 this thing is pretty good.

I do reviews when something is particularly bad or particularly good; this is the latter.A surprisingly well-made and sturdy wind screen and by pulling out a hinge-pin can be made smaller. Mine arrived with 10 plates that was far too large for my MSR stove kit and as I am backpacking, overly heavy. Mine is 9 inches high.Their smaller size is too short for my stove; would barely shield the burner. This one is ample, but too large in circumference. Thanks to a tip posted by another reviewer, I looked and saw that a hinge-pin can be taken out to reduce that. I took out three panels and will try that on next outing. I might could take out four; let's see.Weight was correspondingly reduced but still heavier than I'd like, though nice and sturdy.

I got this windscreen to make my camping stoves more effective. It indeed is lightweight- very thin plates make this very easy to pack. Some of this off brand equipment can be a bit low quality- but I would not say this about this windscreen. Although you would have to really fail exceptionally to ruin a windscreen. It is sturdy and come with its own carry bag that makes stowing away easy.I found that it worked as expected with my 2 stove types- butane canister and an coleman 525 single burner . I t also keeps the stoves working efficiently by reducing some loss of heat. I you have a really large pot that might not work as well. It did not use it with my alcohol trangia, but I would expect it would perform well since that stove has low profile.

Fast shipping works as advertised

It works great as long as it fits above height of stove flame. Plus, separated thin rods between each panels, to hold together, likes to fall out in handling. Pain to get back in tracks. Not easy to clean due to rods falling out. Maybe a more stable product is available to buy?

It is light weight maybe moved by the wind remedy by rocks or anything blocking it.

This product is absolute trash and I wish I would've read that for some reason it's not returnable. The "windshield" is so light that the wind just moves it around the entire time you try to use it making it completely unusable. It does not block any kind of wind and instead hinders your cooking. Save your time and don't get it, this was a terrible waste of $16.
