Quality and Customer Support
Very well and safely packaged. Easy to setup. Easy to read display with back-lite. Impressed that, when display and remotes closely located, they give virtually identical readings; an indication, I believe of accuracy. The remotes have better range than any other thermometers I've had - one is located in a refrigerator in my garage, about 40 ft away, with 3 walls and 4 appliances between it and the display unit. The only performance issue (nitpicking for sure) is that the remotes take longer to reach stable readings than other remote units I've had.Customer support - top notch! - After about about 5 months, one of the remotes stopped responding. After putting fresh batteries in the display unit and the non-responding remote (though the remote batteries tested fine) and making repeated efforts to reinitialize the channel (according to the instructions) without success, I contacted AMIR customer support via E-mail. (I had to search around the companies website to find the address, which was a little annoying.) I got a quick response, and after following the reps requested actions to verify the problem, was given a couple of options to satisfy the warranty. I elected to reorder the entire unit with remotes, and promptly received a full refund of the purchase price.Reliability could be an issue since the one remote failed; time will tell.

1 1/2 year update
I will write various reviews for this product, as long as it will let me anyways!Ordered Friday Nov 27. Says will arrive on Monday 30th. I'm in a large metropolitan area, Houston. I do not need an outside reading of temp. I have three refrigerators! New one in the kitchen and 2 older ones in the garage. The distance is about 20 feet with a wall in-between. Easy to order and I found most all of my questions answered by looking. I will write about installation when it arrives.Update: Later, the same day I wrote the first part of this review, I got an email saying my order would be delivered on Saturday. Package came at 7:44PM.Instructions are written by someone in China. They are helpful, but not A+! I installed the batteries Sunday morning, put the sensors in the refrigerators and within 20 minutes had all the different temps on the monitor, it does take time for the temp reading to come down. Play with the placement of the sensors for different readings by a few degrees. The unit is working as stated and I'm very happy with the purchase.UPDATE 2 I moved one of the sensors to a freezer and it is working perfectly reading minus 9°. So far very happy with the product.UPDATE 3 December 12 Looked this morning at the gauges. The number 2 Fridge reads 40.9. Went to the fridge and it feels colder then 40. Freezer section hard as a rock. Drinks are all we have the cooler section and they fell nice and cold. I am ex supermarket manager and have had to know my refrigeration temps by feel. Sensor might be off, but why??? I will watch it, cause like all of us, I could be wrong!UPDATE 4 March 2022, unit has worked great and continues to work great. Update 3, was location of sensor.

Nice versatile unit; bad MIN/MAX documentation
This is a nice unit. Compact yet readable display, and the remote sensors have all the range I need: One unit is in the backyard shed, 75 feet as the crow files and through four walls; one in the main house, 25 feet and 3 walls; one in the garage downstairs, 20 feet and one floor. So far all have worked without issue. Laid side by side on my table with 30 min to stabilize, one sensor was a degree F high over the average, and one a degree low—close enough for me. Based on other reviews I am hoping for 8-12 mo of battery life for each sensor. The documentation is not great and completely fails to address a key feature: the options with the MIN/MAX feature. The documentation writers for this product are selling the engineers short! It looks like you can track MIN/MAX in two ways: with an automatic reset every 24 hours, or all-time (until you choose to reset manually). To switch modes, when the display shows current data (not showing the MIN or the MAX), hold down the MIN/MAX button for ~5 seconds. The little "24hr" badge in upper right will tell you if you are in 24hr mode or all-time mode. I assume the moment when you put it into 24 mode, it is at that time every day that it will auto-reset, but I still need to test that—it may be the 24-hour reset timer runs from the last time the batteries were inserted. And it looks like when you hold down the MIX/MAX while in MAX mode, it resets the temp MIN/MAX, and when you hold it down while in MIN mode, it resets the humidity MIN/MAX.Nice product, inadequate docs!

Great solution for monitoring my barn and hen house
I purchased this thermometer almost two years ago and decided it really deserved a review. I keep the main thermometer in the window (gives me a low reading of house temp), one outside, one in the barn - which is 60 ft. away from the main and one in the hen house (50 ft. away). I have used them continuously and replaced the batteries once. Overall I am very pleased - the readings are accurate, it rarely loses connection to the distantly located units and is easy to read. I had a little trouble with initial setup (you just need to hold down the channel button long enough for all of the readouts to blink and then they will search and connect), but otherwise they have been rock solid. We have temp ranges from -12 to 100+ and I've had no issues. The hen house is NOT direct line of site (a large outbuilding in between) and it still works like a champ. Overall a great value, 5* and thumbs up.

4 years later and still working well
This thermometer is still working well after 4 years. We have one sensor in the garage, one in the attic and one on the back porch. Occasionally we need to change batteries - other than that, no issues.
