Advanced Level Physics:

This is an older text book on Physics at the Advanced Level in high school. I used it back then but did not retain a copy since then. It covers the fundamental Physics course.

This is an excellent book for A level or IB, even AP physics, the book remain the most important equations acquired by the examination. Every serious student and every student loves physics should had this book, it is not an old book, when you studied this book, you even learn more than every physics examination board requirement today. Actually, I don't find any new A level physics books have more physics knowledge and more serious physics equations than this book, for example, I don't find thin film interference and second law of thermodynamics , PV diagram calculations in thermodynamics in the new A level physics book, it make me disappoint!Actually, the student just learn a little (F=ma, V=IR...simple equations...) in every core in the new A level physics books!

I have used a previous edition for years and felt it was time to update. It is an excellent book and gives a very good fundamental understanding to the reader. I first came across this book in college and continue to use in for areas that are new to me or where I need a refresher. Can highly recommend this edition.

This edition replaces my older one; it is disappointing to find that many [long answer] questions in previous editions are not included in this one; and, for the first time, there are multiple choice questions which can never test a student in the way that long answer questions do. It is more evidence that courses are simpler than they were and exams are easier. The Examination Boards and the Government deny this - who are they trying to fool? Our educational record is appalling compared to schools in other countries - and we are still in the top 10 richest countries in the world. We owe it to ourselves, our children and our country to educate people properly - not just make money out of it.

A fairly old Physics textbook that includes a lot of information in a single volume. Not for the faint hearted, but ideal for a determined, no-nonsense reader.
